The project will partner with Ministries of Health and other governmental institutions to strengthen systems needed to address naturally occurring outbreaks as well as intentional or accidental releases of high-consequence pathogens. Building on ten years of U.S. Government investments in GHS and lessons learned from COVID-19 and other public health emergencies, this activity will support countries to (1) improve prevention of avoidable epidemics; (2) strengthen early detection and characterization of emerging biological threats; and (3) enable rapid, effective response to public health events of international concern. OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES The Principal Investigator/Program Director leads and manages the project and is accountable for project deliverables and results, with full accountability and authority for the development, execution, and monitoring of the project, including vision and technical strategy; project management; documentation and communication; client(s) stakeholder(s) relationships; thought leadership; and coordination and synergy with other MSH projects. Demonstrated subject-matter expertise in at least two core GHS areas: epidemic prevention, public health surveillance, laboratory detection systems, GHS workforce development, emergency preparedness/response, or One Health. 4. The expected salary range for this position is: $118,500.00 - $158,500.00 annually (U.S. locations only). Compensation that Grows with You For this position, the base salary range is $85,000-$93,000 + 5% Bonus & 5% LTIP. While this range serves as a guideline, your actual compensation will reflect your unique experience, skill set, and location.
