Compensation Range

We are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our synthetic enhancer flywheel. The Associate will be working in the laboratory to clone and screen Massively Parallel Reporter Assay (MPRA) libraries in a variety of biological models from cell lines to multicellular in vivo models to mouse in vivo. They will optimize library delivery, process RNA and DNA through generation of Illumina sequencing data for model training, and then evaluate model success by testing designed sequences using dd PCR, flow cytometry, and other molecular biology assays as a readout. They will be on the cutting edge of the field of high throughput screening, optimizing workflows in new multicellular models as the active learning needs for the AI model evolve.

The Department of Fisheries and Wildlife at Michigan State University invites applications for a full‐time, 12 month fixed-term Assistant Professor Research with a 100% research assignment. The position start date is anticipated to be 7/1/2024. This is one of two new fishery stock assessment positions; candidates who wish to be considered for both positions should apply to both.
The Quantitative Fisheries Center (QFC) seeks a Research Assistant Professor with experience in quantitative fisheries stock assessment and harvest simulation modeling to modernize walleye and yellow perch statistical catch-at-age models in Lake Erie and evaluate sustainable harvest policies. Currently, the bi-nationally managed Lake Erie walleye and yellow perch fisheries are valued at more than $1 billion USD/yr, and presently represent the only Marine Stewardship Council certified fisheries in the Laurentian Great Lakes. The hired scientist will work closely with the Lake Erie Committee (LEC), Lake Erie Walleye Task Group (WTG) and the Yellow Perch Task Group (YPTG) to translate existing stock assessment models from ADMB to RTMB and conduct assessment research to improve existing assessment modeling approaches. Anticipated activities and research include 1) translating existing assessment models from ADMB to RTMB, 2) conducting research to further existing models to the state-space modeling framework, and 3) making structural changes to models as requested by the WTG and YPTG. Upon completion of assessment model changes, the candidate will use simulation modeling to explore the robustness of existing harvest policies and evaluate new policies. The researcher will join an exciting team of fisheries scientists working at the Quantitative Fisheries Center and will help with efforts to improve fishery stock assessments throughout the Great Lakes.

Responsibilities:
The foundation of the KFMA program is providing education and consultation to member farms in the area of farm business management. KFMA Economists strive to provide cooperating farms with resources to make informed financial, production, and tax management decisions. In order to achieve this goal, an Extension Agricultural Economist is expected to:
Develop and maintain a relationship with membership of approximately 70-80 cooperating commercial farms

What We Are Looking For

Compensation
Our national target base salary range is $165,750-$207,000, plus participation in our Annual Bonus and Stock Option Program. Base compensation will be commensurate with experience and skills.

POSITION SPECIFICS
The College of Agricultural Sciences at Penn State University invites applications for a 48-week, non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Research Professor with expertise in diseases of grapevines and potatoes and integrated crop management, and development of educational programming serving extension needs. This position has 60% extension, 25% research and 15% teaching responsibilities and will be located at the Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center (LERGREC).
The successful candidate will build a robust applied research program focused on integrated management of grapevine diseases significant to the area, the Lake Erie Grape Belt. The candidate is expected to partner with industry to test new disease control practices that are effective to the specific disease pressures of this area where grapes are grown under irrigation systems. The successful candidate will provide statewide leadership in extension supporting the disease management needs of the grape and potato industries in Pennsylvania, both important crops in the region. Additionally, the candidate is expected to teach one course per year at the Penn State Behrend campus alternating an upper-level undergraduate course in fungal biology, and a General Education interdomain course. The successful candidate is expected to obtain extramural support for their research and communicate research findings through peer-reviewed publications and other effective means.

We are seeking an accomplished and strategic leader to serve as Senior Research Fellow, DMPK Project Lead to guide the DMPK strategy for our Biotherapeutics portfolio including protein, antibody, ADC and cell and genetic therepies. Key Responsibilities
* Serve as the DMPK Lead and/or supervise other DMPK leads for biotherapeutics programs, develop and execute DMPK scientific strategies from discovery through clinical development.
* Build and maintain strong collaborative partnerships with Biology, Preclinical Safety, Clinical Pharmacology, CMC and other R & D disciplines to align DMPK strategy with overall program goals and advance Vertex programs through discovery and development.
* Represent DMPK function on drug discovery and development teams and with Vertex R & D governance bodies, driving data-informed decisions related to PK, immunogenicity, disposition, metabolism, and biotransformation of biotherapeutics.
* Provide scientific and managerial leadership to the team in prioritizing and executing on key deliverables and project needs.
* Oversee design, execution, and interpretation of PK, ADME, and bioanalytical/immunogenicity assays for biotherapeutics and guide translational PKPD approaches to support dose selection and clinical projections.
* Provide clear communication on DMPK findings, implications, and recommendations to team members and senior leadership.
* Ensure scientific excellence and regulatory compliance in all necessary DMPK regulatory documents and reports to support drug development including investigator brochures, INDs (or equivalent), and marketing applications.
* Help shape long-term DMPK strategy, capabilities, and best practices for biotherapeutics across the organization.
* Participate in review of business development opportunities
Qualifications
* PhD in Pharmacokinetics, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biochemistry, Biology, or related field, with 15+ years of industry experience
* Successful track record and experience in a DMPK lead role on multiple R&D teams across more than one therapeutic area. Extensive experience working with one or more biotherapeutic modalities (e.g., protein, antibody and nucleic acid therapeutics, cell and gene therapies) is a must.
* Deep scientific and strategic expertise in various components of DMPK science such as PK, ADME, bioanalysis, immunogenicity, biotransformation, and translational PKPD modeling approaches for biologics.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to develop and grow strong cross-site/function collaborations.
* Experience preparing regulatory submissions and interacting with health authorities.
* Strong management and leadership skills, with emphasis on developing and mentoring junior DMPK project leads
Pay Range:
$232,800 - $349,200
