We are seeking a Senior Principal Applied Scientist to spearhead Generative AI and Agent use cases that support GBU business applications as well as GBU consulting. As an applied scientist, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of cutting-edge technologies. We are building a core talented team specialized in Generative AI. **Responsibilities**
**Qualifications:**
+ PhD, MS in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a field related to deep learning.
+ Strong knowledge of ML fundamentals - supervised vs unsupervised modeling, time series, highly unbalanced and noisy data sets, complex feature engineering, recommendation systems, using and optimizing gradient boosting models, NLP, deep learning on all kinds of unstructured data.
+ 5+ (for Senior), 7+ (for Principal), 10+ (for Sr Principal) years of work experience including a minimum of 2-year experience in developing large-scale ML solutions, and in particular deep learning solutions in the NLP field.
+ Proficiency with deep learning frameworks (such as PyTorch or TensorFlow) and deep learning architectures (especially Transformers).
+ Hands-on experience with distributed training of large language models.
+ Strong development experience of deep learning modeling in Python.
+ Familiarity with the latest advancements in LLM and generative AI technologies.

The International Arctic Research Center (IARC) seeks candidates for a Postdoctoral Fellow in Economics/Public Finance for one year with possible extension based on performance and available funding. The position will be part of IARC's partnership with the Alaska Native Tribal Health Consortium (ANTHC), the largest tribal health organization in the U.S., under a NOAA-funded resilience and adaptation initiative, expanding climate adaptation technical assistance for Alaska Native communities. This position will be responsible for synthesizing existing economic analysis relevant for small community adaptation, assisting communities in their complex decision making related to relocation and adaptation in-place, and for determining the social cost of in-action related to public health outcomes, homelessness, and/or climate-related migration.
In this position you will not only grow your research skills in team science and co-production with communities but also develop and maintain partnerships, build community capacity, lead knowledge mobilization (e.g., publications, presentations), and participate in project management while working independently and collaboratively within IARC and ANTHC.
The postdoctoral fellow will be supervised by Dr. Tobias Schwoerer (IARC PI) in close collaboration with CETC. IARC's mission is to better understand the Arctic as a system and to make a difference. IARC is a highly productive, interdisciplinary research center and home to over 100 scientists, many with interdisciplinary training. As a Senior Principal Applied Scientist on OCI's AI Innovation team, you'll shaping Oracle's next generation AI infrastructure.
