These binaural systems are important for selective attention and may be disrupted by early life conductive hearing loss and contribute to central auditory processing disorder. The postdoctoral researcher will support projects under the leadership of Bradley Winters, PhD using advanced in vivo and ex vivo neuroscience methods in rodent animal models. Techniques used include whole-cell and dual dendritic-somatic patch-clamp, multiphoton imaging, and RNA sequencing. Candidates should have a PhD in neuroscience or related field and excellent communication skills. Experience in electrophysiology and rodent animal models is highly desired. The position requires working with rodents including surgical procedures and euthanasia as well as a strong work ethic and engagement with relevant scientific literature.
