The Role: Our site in Round Rock is seeking a/an Engineering Consultant to join our team. What You'll Do: * Guide NPD engineers in the creation design of experiment work (DoE), ensuring the correct Process parameters are being studied and tested to find the maximum process window or hardware operability
* Aid NPD engineers in the interpretation of DoE data and advise on next steps within the Experimental setup
* Form part of the senior engineering team and participate in design meetings regarding next generation hardware design
* Utilize industry experience and knowledge to suggest new hardware designs, including but not limited to pressure control, thermal management, software, heater jackets, valve manifolds and ALD/CVD containers.

What We Seek:
* 10+ years engineering experience in a related engineering discipline
* Minimum of a MS or PhD in STEM subject (Engineering or Chemistry preferred).
* Minimum of 10 year experience in designing, developing and testing hardware systems along with ALD/CVD containers, working with 3rd party manufacturers to build the final product to the defined specification.
* Demonstrated project execution with exemplary safety, product performance, timing, and budget controls.
* Experience with leading a technical group with a wide range of experience in a fast paced, detailed orientated, global environment.
* 5+ Years' experience in technical customer engagements

* Use on-farm data from across the U.S. to develop yield stability zones and evaluate on-farm profitability within those zones.
* Advance precision nitrogen-use-efficiency and phosphorus-use-efficiency measurements in a geospatially explicit context on farms from across the U.S.
* Develop methodologies to evaluate precision agriculture technologies (e.g., precision orientation planting, unmanned technologies, digital soil nutrient sensing, and precision nutrient application) across scales (plot to whole farm) to advance the adoption of precision conservation.
* Designs, performs, and analyzes experiments consistent with project objectives. Conducts independent research aligned with the TAMUS member's mission. Keeps detailed records of procedures and data.
* Provides leadership. Mentors students on analyzing and preparing data results Train members of the laboratory.
* Validates strategic decision-aid models. Presents research results.
* Develops procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy of data collection and analyses.

The Blackland Research & Extension Center in Temple, Texas is seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate position depending on the candidate's qualifications. Position Information
Applications are invited for a Senior Research Associate to work in a joint research project at Texas A&M AgriLife, Temple, TX and USDA-ARS, Maricopa, AZ. The associate will lead the collection, processing, and analysis of agricultural data using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and related sensing technologies. This position supports research aimed at enhancing in-season cotton monitoring, resource management, and decision-making through the use of high-resolution aerial imagery and data analytics.
Responsibilities:
Collect aerial imagery using UAV for vegetation indices (NDVI, NDRE, etc.), canopy structure, soil variability, and water stress analysis.
Process raw imagery using photogrammetry and GIS software to generate orthomosaics and vegetation maps.
Manage geospatial data and integrate UAV and other sensor-derived datasets with ground-based observations and crop models to enhance data-driven insights.
Work with crop modelers and data scientists to integrate UAV-based analytics into precision agriculture workflows.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Engineering, Agronomy, Remote Sensing, Geospatial Science, or related field and four years of related professional experience. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with multispectral and thermal imagery applications in crop monitoring.
Knowledge of agricultural management practices, crop phenology, and environmental monitoring.
Other Requirements:
Fieldwork under varying weather conditions.
Travel to research sites or grower fields.
Manual handling of UAV equipment (light to medium weight objects up to ~25 lbs.).
The incumbent will be assigned to work full-time at the USDA-ARS station in Maricopa, AZ.
