Essential Duties and Responsibilities.
· Work independently on Nuclein`s assay and chemistry research efforts for the company's menu test pipeline
· Design, develop, and optimize rapid/fast-cycle PCR and qPCR assays for DNA and RNA targets.
· Lead feasibility and development studies to evaluate assay performance (LOD, linearity, specificity, robustness).
· Innovate sample preparation and extraction workflows compatible with automated or integrated molecular platforms.
· Develop statistically sound study designs and analyze large datasets using tools such as JMP, Excel, R, or Python.
· Perform kinetic and efficiency analyses, baseline correction, and melt curve interpretation for assay optimization.
· Interpret experimental results, troubleshoot issues, and propose data-driven solutions.
· Prepare detailed technical reports, development summaries, and design control documentation (per ISO 13485 or FDA guidelines).

Research & Laboratory Support

Develop and validate in vivo and in vitro model systems; oversee animal preparation, surgical procedures (survival and non-survival), post-operative care, and sample collection in accordance with IACUC, AALAS, and GLP (21 CFR 58) standards.
Perform and/or supervise advanced laboratory techniques including:

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Analytical Chemistry Scientist I is responsible for performing routine sample analysis and LCMS analytical techniques accurately and efficiently following SRL procedures.
SHIFT:
Work schedule will be 4 day/10 hour which will include one weekend day. Based on laboratory needs late 2nd shift may be needed.
JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepares solutions such as mobile phases and buffers Performs validation experiments.
Works independently, plans and conducts laboratory work
Performs routine tasks with high efficiency
Trains and guides new testing personnel
Cleans laboratory glassware and helps maintain lab orderliness
Documents promptly and clearly all procedural processes
Performs automated and routine extractions
Monitors LC-MS/MS system performance to ensure quality of results
Independently troubleshoots assays and instrumentation
Processes data following SRL procedures and guidelines
Makes and records observations and performs mathematical calculations
Maintains and calibrates instrumentation and equipment as required

Job Scope
DiaSorin is seeking a talented Scientist with expertise in polymer and materials chemistry to join our dynamic Innovation team. This role focuses on the design, synthesis, and characterization of polymeric materials, including polystyrene microspheres, polymeric coatings, and nanoparticle-based composites, using techniques such as emulsion polymerization, wet chemical synthesis, and thin-film deposition. The successful candidate will independently lead experiments, collaborate with senior scientists and directors, and contribute to innovative instrumentation projects that advance our cutting-edge technologies. The starting salary range posted for this position is $174,500.00 to $226,500.00 and reflects the projected salary range for new hires in this position in U.S. and/or Canada locations, not including incentive compensation*, equity, or benefits.

U.S. employees are eligible for paid time away as described below, subject to Cisco's policies:

* Non-exempt employees receive 16 days of paid vacation time per full calendar year, accrued at rate of 4.92 hours per pay period for full-time employees
* Exempt employees participate in Cisco's flexible vacation time off program, which has no defined limit on how much vacation time eligible employees may use (subject to availability and some business limitations)
* 80 hours of sick time off provided on hire date and each January 1st thereafter, and up to 80 hours of unused sick time carried forward from one calendar year to the next
* Additional paid time away may be requested to deal with critical or emergency issues for family members
* Optional 10 paid days per full calendar year to volunteer
For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies.
Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
* .75% of incentive target for each 1% of revenue attainment up to 50% of quota;
* 1.5% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 50% and 75%;
* 1% of incentive target for each 1% of attainment between 75% and 100%; and
* Once performance exceeds 100% attainment, incentive rates are at or above 1% for each 1% of attainment with no cap on incentive compensation.
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for providing scientific expertise to routine laboratory service clientele, contract research customers, and FSNS personnel. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a key scientific resource for food safety-related inquiries and concerns from laboratory clients, including both routine and contract research service customers.
Provide on-site and remote support to clients for troubleshooting food safety issues and interpreting test results, with a focus on enhancing product quality and compliance.
Collaborate directly with clients to understand testing needs, propose research solutions, and guide them through the contract research process including budgeting, execution, reporting, and billing.
Maintain strong technical competence through continuous learning in food safety science, industry trends, and regulatory updates (FDA, USDA, FSMA, etc.).
Translate scientific information into actionable recommendations and clearly communicate complex data to customers in a way that builds trust and supports decision-making.
Prepare and deliver technical presentations to clients, industry groups, and internal teams with an emphasis on food safety trends, contamination risks, and mitigation strategies.
Assist in evaluating and validating new or improved testing methodologies related to food safety and environmental monitoring.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ph.D. in Food Science & Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field preferred; M.S. minimum requirement.

Strong working knowledge of industry-standard testing protocols (USDA MLG, FDA BAM, AOAC, etc.).
Demonstrated experience in customer-facing roles, including presenting technical information and solving client-specific issues.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Works independently to plan and conduct laboratory work

Perform basic maintenance and setup of LC-MS/MS or HPLC instruments
Monitors assays on LC-MS/MS instruments of HPLC instruments
