Follow change control procedures for setting up new items, amending BOMs and specifications and issuing Fast Feasibility documents and subsequent scale up processes.
Sample a range of ingredients from stock following health & safety procedures.
Ensure that the working area in the laboratory is maintained in a clean and orderly condition and that any hazard or potential hazard is reported.
Ensure that HACCP protocols are put into effect in the lab.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Work continuously to maximize potential revenue and contribution.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission's Division of Habitat and Species Conservation is comprised of six sections and two offices. This position is in the Wildlife and Habitat Management Section.
Minimum Qualifications: A high school diploma and 5 years professional experience in a closely related biological field or laboratory program is required. A Bachelor of Science degree in a relevant field can substitute for four of the 5 years of required experience.

Description of Duties: The FWC's South Region is seeking a highly motivated biologist to assist with the management of Everglades and Francis S. Taylor Wildlife Management Area (WMA) located in Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade Counties. This position serves as a wildlife biologist on a team to restore and enhance habitats for the benefit of a variety of wildlife and for the enjoyment of Florida's residents and visitors.
Primary responsibilities are assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of hydrologic, habitat, and wildlife management programs for the WMA. This includes the application of prescribed fire, conducting and providing oversight for invasive vegetation control, restoration and management of tree islands, assisting in the development and promotion of public use programs including both hunting and non-hunting uses, and helping to set management and restoration objectives consistent with agency and division directives.
Additionally, this position will assist with conducting wildlife and vegetation surveys, collecting biological data from hunter-harvested animals, coordinating and implementing managed public hunts on both the WMA and Stormwater Treatment Areas, preparing and submitting administrative and biological reports, supervising seasonal staff, maintaining equipment in a safe and usable condition, and furthering agency goals through interactions with cooperating agencies and stakeholders. The position will regularly work independently in the field. The successful candidate must occasionally attend regional and divisional meetings, various trainings, and assist on other management areas as needed.

Description of Duties:
The FWC's Northwest Region Wildlife and Habitat Management Section is seeking a highly motivated Fisheries & Wildlife Biological Scientist II to assist the Lead Area Biologist to plan, develop, and implement management activities to manage wildlife populations, improve wildlife habitat and provide public recreational opportunities on Escribano Point Wildlife Management Area in Santa Rosa County. The incumbent, under the direct supervision of the Lead Area Wildlife Biologist, assists with the planning, development and implementation of natural community restoration and monitoring of imperiled species on the area. Prepares various plans and documents that guide multiple-use management. Plans and assists with the application of land management treatments including prescribed burning, mowing, groundcover restoration, and mechanical and chemical control of invasive plants. Surveys and monitors game, locally important and imperiled wildlife species using scientifically accepted protocols. Conducts vegetation surveys including those of imperiled native flora and monitors vegetation response to habitat manipulations. Plans, develops and oversees construction and maintenance of public use infrastructure including roads, parking areas, kiosks, picnic facilities, trails, boat ramps, water control structures, fences, gates, and equipment maintenance/storage compound as needed. Assists with management of public recreational use programs. Assists with wildlife disease surveillance. Analyzes and reports data to direct future management decisions. Description of Duties: This primarily office-based position is part of the Environmental Commenting Program and assists with developing conservation measures to reduce potential adverse impacts to species with a focus on Florida manatee and marine turtle conservation through the review of permit applications. Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Review permit applications and develop biological opinions to minimize or avoid impacts to protected species for environmental resource permits and other regulatory or planning authorizations such as Environmental Resource Permitting (ERP), Coastal Construction Control Line permits (CCCL), Sovereign Submerged Lands Leases (SSL), Joint Coastal Permits (JCP), various management plans, comprehensive plan amendments and State Clearinghouse under Coastal Zone Management Program (CZMP);
* Provide technical assistance to other sections within the agency, as well as the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, Army Corps of Engineers, Port Authorities, and county/city governments;
* Implement county manatee protection plans (MPPs) and conduct MPP consistency determinations;
