Field Research Scientist (Western Kansas, Southern Nebraska, or Eastern Colorado)
The Field Research Scientist is responsible for conducting field trials in remote areas that cannot be easily accessed by an established hub. This role supports and manages day-to-day operations of the research program in an assigned territory (Western Kansas), by working with regional Site Leads and key stakeholders to plan, establish, maintain, collect accurate agronomic data from, and harvest corn, soybean, wheat, and winter canola trials.
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Candidates must be located or willing to relocate in the geographic area of field-testing sites being supported, based near Western Kansas, Southern Nebraska, or Eastern Colorado.
The primary responsibilities of this role, Field Research Scientist, are to:
* Ensure safe and efficient operation of the research program with respect to budgetary guidelines and expectations. Support the site ESH program as it applies to North American Field Testing and Operations
* Selection, preparation and maintenance of multiple field-testing sites. Requires safe driving including frequent trailer use hauling loads in excess of 10,000 lbs; pre-trip inspections and use of logbooks
* Plays a vital role is trial preparation including seed processing, packaging, shipping, protocol review, trial placement and mapping/field design;
* Maintain field trial sites as weed, insect and disease free; Confident ability in identifying key weeds, insect and disease problems is critical, as is timely and accurate implementation of control measures
* With the use of handheld electronic equipment and Monsanto proprietary software, collect notes on various agronomic traits (e.g. emergence uniformity, flowering date, lodging, height, maturity, shattering resistance) in a timely manner throughout the growing season
* Harvest plots and collect samples for quality and statistical analysis; ensure harvest data is evaluated and relinquished in accordance with crop advancement deadlines to aid in product advancement decisions
* Develop, maintain and implement the use of controlled SOP documents, QMS procedures and investigative protocols
* Comply with all regulatory compliance guidelines for Confined Release and Stewarded Trial material;
* Collaborate with other Agronomic Research Specialists, Site Leads, and Principal Investigators is expected in order to facilitate efficient trial planning and placement, sharing of ideas and techniques and quick response to issues that may arise (e.g. weather or pests affecting trials);
* Works closely with Plant Breeders, Principal Investigators and Agronomic Research Specialists to fully understand the multiple stages of crop development and the importance of each step involved and share experiences cross-functionally as needed;
* Field selection, cooperator relations, capable of learning research equipment operations and basic maintenance (all types), field maintenance + data collection, basic agronomic knowledge/crop management, technically savy, adhere to compliance/safety policies, utilization of IT tools, time management, prioritization skills, self-motivated, good decision making abilities. Accountable for business unit or project results through leadership and coordination across site strategy, prioritizing and monitoring projects to ensure completion within deadlines and budgets. Build partnerships and share technical knowledge across sites, involved in industry working groups;
* Position entails driving a company vehicle (pooled or assigned to the individual). This may include being required to drive greater than 5,000 business miles annually in a personal, pooled, or rented vehicle OR being expected to frequently drive a pooled car as part of your job duties - regardless of mileage.
* Position requires driving for the company that will fall under DOT/FMCSA jurisdiction and will (may) require a CDL. This may entail the hauling of trailers, product, supplies or equipment in a safe manner.

The position will also assist with daily operations including staff training, development, utilization of equipment and facilities, safety oversight, quality of services and work products, time delivery of services and deliverables, and adherence to policies and procedures. Ideal candidates will be willing to participate in business development activities to identify, develop, win, and execute project opportunities to build and maintain client relationships.
The ideal candidate will also be able to provide support and assistance for consulting services for a broad array of projects and clients. The Early Childhood Education Institute (ECEI) at the University of Oklahoma-Tulsa is seeking a Postdoctoral Teaching and Research Fellow with expertise in early childhood education to contribute to its applied research mission and engage in meaningful teaching opportunities. The earliest start date for this position is November 1, 2025. The position will remain open until filled.
Situated on the campus of The University of Oklahoma at Tulsa, the ECEI is an applied research center focused on understanding and advancing access and opportunity for young children and families. Our team of researchers engages in research-practice partnerships, bringing expertise in early care and education and the early childhood workforce. We apply cutting-edge approaches, leveraging longitudinal data to examine practices and policies that lead to thriving children, families, and communities. We partner with community agencies and researchers to infuse multiple and interdisciplinary perspectives.
This position offers a unique blend of independent and collaborative research within an interdisciplinary team, with the additional opportunity to teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students in early childhood education through OU-Tulsa's academic departments. Position Summary
This position is designed for a motivated scholar with a background in early childhood, child development, or a related field who is passionate about research and teaching. The Fellow will work with the ECEI team on a range of applied research projects focused on infant-toddler care and education, with the expectation of developing publications from existing datasets, supporting ongoing projects, and pursuing an independent research agenda.
Additionally, the Fellow will teach one undergraduate or graduate course per academic year (with possibility for more based on interest and capacity) in early childhood education. Courses may include child development, research methods, or early learning environments.

Postdoc/Assistant Staff Scientist - Nath Lab

Overview and Responsibilities The Nath Lab is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as a Postdoctoral Scientist or Assistant Staff Scientist. Our research focuses on unraveling the genetic mechanisms underlying lupus, a complex autoimmune disease. This position requires expertise in analyzing large-scale genetic and genomic data. The successful candidate will have access to excellent resources to address critical questions in the genetics and genomics of systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE).
Building on our lab s success in identifying genes and genetic variants associated with lupus susceptibility through genome-wide association studies (GWAS), we are now investigating the functional effects of these variants. This includes utilizing patient-derived primary immune cells and tissues as well as cell line models.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze human genetic and genomic data, including GWAS and next-generation sequencing (NGS).
Develop and apply computational methods to interpret various types of biological data.
Integrate GWAS summary results with other data types (e.g., eQTL, mQTL, and functional genomic annotations) to identify novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers.
Contribute to the understanding of the functional consequences of lupus-associated genetic variants.
Desired Skills and Experience
Proficiency in statistical genetics, bioinformatics, and computational biology.
Expertise in analyzing large-scale GWAS datasets, including integration with functional genomic data.
Strong background in using genetics/statistics/bioinformatics software for data analysis and interpretation.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants should have a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. (or expect to receive a doctoral degree soon).
Collaboration with experimental and clinical scientists to address specific target mechanism questions with genomic insights is essential. This position demands a highly motivated, self-driven individual with excellent teamwork and organizational skills. Creativity, biological insight, and problem-solving skills in computational research.
Preferred Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of GWAS data analysis methodologies.
