Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide demo support for all sales visits, ensuring that demos are created and dispatched within agreed timescales.
Accurately compound beverage formulas
Create complex applications using product portfolio knowledge.
Assist in the evaluation of flavors in application for briefs/research projects/portfolio evaluation.
Work with sensory team to conduct sensory testing and participate in taste panels and project evaluations as needed.
Support internal and external customers with product information and labelling.
Identify key requirements of a customer brief and work accordingly.
Work collaboratively with global Applications counterparts.
Use market trends to feed into projects and departmental initiatives.
Support Sales Team on customer visits where required.
Attend company and industry events independently.
Have a basic understanding of IT systems used within the department to fulfil the role. These include JDE, STARS, SDS viewer, MADs, WERCs, Cascade, TIPPS, SharePoint and Salesforce.
Carry out basic wet chemistry to analyze prototype samples.
Follow change control procedures for setting up new items, amending BOMs and specifications and issuing Fast Feasibility documents and subsequent scale up processes.
Sample a range of ingredients from stock following health & safety procedures.
Ensure that the working area in the laboratory is maintained in a clean and orderly condition and that any hazard or potential hazard is reported.
Ensure that HACCP protocols are put into effect in the lab.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department.
Work continuously to maximize potential revenue and contribution.
Carryout daily checks on a rotational basis to ensure the working area is maintained to a high level.
Write & review Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.
Perform such other tasks as are consistent with the general description.

Education & Training:
Bachelor's Degree ideally in a food related degree or science.

Description of Duties: The FWC's South Region is seeking a highly motivated biologist to assist with the management of Everglades and Francis S. This position serves as a wildlife biologist on a team to restore and enhance habitats for the benefit of a variety of wildlife and for the enjoyment of Florida's residents and visitors.
Primary responsibilities are assisting with the planning, development, and implementation of hydrologic, habitat, and wildlife management programs for the WMA. This includes the application of prescribed fire, conducting and providing oversight for invasive vegetation control, restoration and management of tree islands, assisting in the development and promotion of public use programs including both hunting and non-hunting uses, and helping to set management and restoration objectives consistent with agency and division directives.

Position Overview and Responsibilities:
Provide timely data science support to FWC research staff. These services include assistance in the design and implementation of relational databases to ensure data quality. This assistance may be in the form of recommendations of appropriate tools, methods, and software; discussions of database workflow issues, priority needs, and potential solutions; or building databases and providing written data manuals and documentation. Ensure appropriate agency policies and procedures are followed for metadata generation, data storage, project workflow documentation, software selection, and security. Mentors other Ecological Data Specialist staff, provide database architecture & standards review and advisement for mentored staff, serves as backup for mentored projects as needed. Develops standards, reusable tools, trainings, and webinars at the direction of leadership.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Must be able to understand and appreciate natural resource problems from the perspective of a biologist or resource manager
Must be able to identify and define technical needs, and assist with project prioritization to ensure priority project needs are met in a timely fashion
Must be able to produce database & application user manuals in a manner that is easily shared with and understood by biologists
Must be proficient with Excel, Access, R/Shiny, or SQL
Must have applied database and application development experience
Must be familiar with database and interface design principles, data standardization methodologies, relational database structures, and normalizing & optimization techniques
Must be able to multi-task and work independently to plan, organize, and coordinate work assignments
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with research staff, including personnel stationed at field offices throughout the state of Florida
Experience with fish and wildlife data collection and analysis techniques preferred
Familiarity with low code tools and application development is preferred, including but not limited to ESRI Survey123, ESRI Collector, ESRI Field Maps, ArcGIS Online, Fulcrum, MS Access, R/Shiny
