About the Position:

As a Principal Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will have the important role to generate high-quality immunoassay data in a regulated GCLP laboratory setting to support Pfizer s vaccine programs according to Standard Operating Procedures.

You will manage clinical sample testing and work with the leadership to plan, design and critically analyze experiments to support the development and qualification/validation of assays as well as monitor assay performance and actively lead efforts in assay investigations. Your skills and expertise will ensure that all work is managed in a compliant manner according to relevant Standard Operating Procedures and GCLP.

You will be recognized as a technical expert and a significant scientific contributor. With your deep knowledge of the discipline, you will regularly contribute at the therapeutic area level and can represent the department on multidisciplinary teams. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide team members. Requirements:

• PhD in immunology

• 4+ years of experience

• Demonstrated expertise in cellular immunology

• Demonstrated expertise in multi-color flow cytometry and ELISPOT

• Demonstrated expertise in GCLP clinical testing

• Breadth of knowledge of different areas of science, awareness of new technologies, and familiarity with current issues to apply novel and innovative approaches to problem solving

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Proficiency in the use of Word processing, Excel, PowerPoint and relevant scientific software

FAST Labs scientists partner with leading government research labs and organizations, including DARPA and IARPA, to develop innovative solutions to modern defense challenges. Members of the group are involved in the entire cycle of research development, from the initial concept ideation and program shaping with potential customers and new business pursuits through execution, including prototype development, testing, and debugging, and transition of research concepts to BAE Systems business areas and products.

We are seeking a Network and Communications Research Scientist to join the Assured Communications and Networking research group. Our research interests include adaptive signal processing, mobile wireless routing, transport protocols, information dissemination, information theory, deep learning, and distributed systems and adaptive decision and control. These technologies are applied to a number of different RF domains, such as tactical radios, cognitive communications, radar, electronic warfare (EW), spectrum sensing, and SIGINT. Successful candidates will be involved in multiple research programs with roles including technical leadership, technical development, customer interaction, program management, or new concept development. Most programs involve small teams of principal engineers and academically strong assistant researchers.

This position can be based out of our Merrimack, NH, Burlington, MA or Reston, VA facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.
An active Secret clearance is preferred, and a Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Typically a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of research work experience, a MS degree with 4 years, or a PhD with 2 years of experience.

+ Strong experience with mathematical model tools and languages; such as MATLAB, Python, etc.

+ Strong and confident communication/presentation skills

+ Algorithm design, development, and implementation experience

+ Experience with DoD tactical data links and/or wireless network standards is desired.

+ Basic appreciation of emerging technology trends such as advances in information theory, control theory, machine learning, cryptology, and distributed systems

+ Experience in being part of a multidisciplinary project team in research or development

+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

An active Secret clearance is preferred and a Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

What you'll contribute:
Design and develop analytic enterprise and cloud software using a variety of languages/platforms to support integration and deployment of analytic products and solution Design and develop high-performance analytic software capabilities to enable the efficient development of industry-leading fraud and credit risk applications Work with analytics teams to understand the requirements from their analytic solutions and algorithms, and provide high-level design choices while enforcing technical standards and performance awareness Use and develop a variety of data analysis and machine learning methodologies, tools, and techniques Conduct innovation projects and POCs for new technologies and solution architectures and make recommendations for applicability in existing tech stack Contribute independently and as a technical team leader Mentor and lead junior members of the team on software design and best practices

What we're seeking:
M.S. or Ph.D. degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, or a related field Significant relevant experience and proven success record in development of analytic enterprise and cloud software using a variety of languages/platforms to support integration and deployment of analytic products and solutions Expertise in one or more JVM languages - Java, Scala, Kotlin, etc.Proficiency in use of scripting language (bash, python, etc.) for ad-hoc tasks Solid background in the fundamentals of computer science - algorithms, data structures, performance complexity, concurrent programming, and software performance tuning Experience with software development best practices including agile development, unit testing and continuous integration Comfortable with the use of Git, Maven/Gradle and some CI technology (Jenkins/Travis/CircleCI/Azure Pipelines/AWS Code Build) Ability to influence design and architectural direction with stakeholders (Analytics, Software, IT, Support, Product Management) and promote software best practices Interest in conducting innovation projects and POCs for new technologies and solution architectures and making recommendations for applicability in existing tech stack

Desirable / Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in financial modelling is a strong plus Experience developing data driven applications and using big data (MapReduce, Spark) and database technologies (SQL or NoSQL) Experience developing data and analytics applications with AWS technology, including S3, Lambda, Kinesis, etc.Experience developing data and analytics workflows with Airflow, AWS Step Functions, etc.
