About the Position:

As a Principal Scientist, you will be at the center of our operations and you ll find that everything we do, every day, is in line with an unwavering commitment to quality. You will have the important role to generate high-quality immunoassay data in a regulated GCLP laboratory setting to support Pfizer s vaccine programs according to Standard Operating Procedures.

You will manage clinical sample testing and work with the leadership to plan, design and critically analyze experiments to support the development and qualification/validation of assays as well as monitor assay performance and actively lead efforts in assay investigations. Your skills and expertise will ensure that all work is managed in a compliant manner according to relevant Standard Operating Procedures and GCLP.

You will be recognized as a technical expert and a significant scientific contributor. With your deep knowledge of the discipline, you will regularly contribute at the therapeutic area level and can represent the department on multidisciplinary teams. You will be using your scientific judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience. You will undertake mentoring activities to guide team members. Requirements:

  • PhD in immunology

  • 4+ years of experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in cellular immunology

FAST Labs scientists partner with leading government research labs and organizations, including DARPA and IARPA, to develop innovative solutions to modern defense challenges. Members of the group are involved in the entire cycle of research development, from the initial concept ideation and program shaping with potential customers and new business pursuits through execution, including prototype development, testing, and debugging, and transition of research concepts to BAE Systems business areas and products.

We are seeking a Network and Communications Research Scientist to join the Assured Communications and Networking research group. Our research interests include adaptive signal processing, mobile wireless routing, transport protocols, information dissemination, information theory, deep learning, and distributed systems and adaptive decision and control. These technologies are applied to a number of different RF domains, such as tactical radios, cognitive communications, radar, electronic warfare (EW), spectrum sensing, and SIGINT. Successful candidates will be involved in multiple research programs with roles including technical leadership, technical development, customer interaction, program management, or new concept development. Most programs involve small teams of principal engineers and academically strong assistant researchers.

This position can be based out of our Merrimack, NH, Burlington, MA or Reston, VA facilities, though it will require collaboration with staff across our business areas and facilities in the Northeast.
An active Secret clearance is preferred, and a Top Secret clearance is highly desired.

Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status and eligibility to obtain a US security clearance.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Typically a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of research work experience, a MS degree with 4 years, or a PhD with 2 years of experience.

+ Strong experience with mathematical model tools and languages; such as MATLAB, Python, etc.

+ Strong and confident communication/presentation skills

+ Algorithm design, development, and implementation experience

+ Experience with DoD tactical data links and/or wireless network standards is desired.

+ Basic appreciation of emerging technology trends such as advances in information theory, control theory, machine learning, cryptology, and distributed systems

+ Experience in being part of a multidisciplinary project team in research or development

+ Must be a US citizen and able to obtain a secret clearance
