Software Engineer, Android Responsibilities:
1. Research, design, develop, and test operating systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software for user interfaces, infrastructure, and/or tools supporting applications on Android using the Android SDK.

Functions Supervised: None
Primary Functions: Assists Product Development Teams in the engineering of Symitar development designed to achieve business outcomes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in core feature and user story development, executing responsibilities, and collaborating with Product Development Team members.
Designs Symitar solutions to satisfy technical requirements.
Utilizes Symitar knowledge to write and complete user stories and product features.
Applies design principles and patterns to develop robust product capabilities following Symitar Services methodologies and best practices.
Actively engages with other product team members to provide assistance with Symitar architecture, coding standards, and system related issues.
May verify the work of engineers or technicians.
Perform other duties as assigned in support of team efforts and results.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree required, preferably BSEE, BSCE, or BSCS or equivalent.
Creditable Experience in Lieu of Education: Equivalent technical education and/or related work experience.
Experience/Skills: At least one year of professional experience in a Symitar development team is preferred. At least one year of experience with unit testing, change, configuration management is preferred. At least one year of experience with software methodologies is preferred. Familiarity with Agile, DevOps practices and methodologies and with Software Development Lifecycle. Familiarity with operating systems, tools to test software applications/systems, and with development/modeling tools. Passion and willingness to continue learning and utilizing up-and-coming technology trends.
Tenure: Assignment to the Symitar Engineer I category 10, Symitar Engineer II category 09, Symitar Engineer III category 08, or Senior Symitar Engineer category 07 will be determined by the candidates' education or experience. Salary Pay Range:
Symitar Engineer I (Category 10): $63,233 - $99,908 annually
Symitar Engineer II (Category 09): $69,557 - $112,677 annually
Symitar Engineer III (Category 08): $79,989 - $132,798 annually
Senior Symitar Engineer (Category 07): $90,389 - $152,718 annually
Starting base salary will be determined based on candidate experience, qualifications, education, and local or state wage requirements, if applicable and will fall within the range provided above.
In accordance with our Salary Administration policy, new hire base salaries generally fall within the minimum to midpoint of the listed range.
