What Does A Print Production Coordinator Do At Simon Property Group

* Produce full size plans, and occasional 11x17s, upon request using the Oce’ Publisher Select and other CAD printers as necessary; as well as the scanning of documents as necessary for the Corporation, in both Color and B/W formats
* Walk-in requests should be done immediately, on a "while they wait" basis, when at all possible.
* Plans should not be outsourced for scanning or copying without the concurrence of your supervisor.
* Print Distribution: Folding and shipping prints to all Simon Property Group Malls, construction sites, group offices, division, departments, etc
* Ordering supplies and verification of billing invoices: Consolidated tracking , ordering and receiving supplies for the Print Room and other CAD plotting needs.
* Customer Service: Maintain an expedient and friendly customer service oriented Print Room.
* Computer Knowledge: Lotus notes, Microsoft Office, Oce’ Publisher Select and Windows applications for everyday workload tasks.
* Image Library:
* Good understanding of scanned images, and the equipment to access them to satisfy requests for prints of base building drawings and tenant plans.
* Provide plan sets back to requestors in an orderly format – drawings sequenced properly, all images the same direction, etc.
* Receipt and filing of images coming in from outside scanning vendors
* Other duties relating to drawing maintenance and archiving might be assigned as required.
* Duties could include, but not be limited to:
* Going through old drawings to scan them if necessary
* Straightening and organizing drawing files both inside and outside the Print Room that relate to SPG properties and other work
* Functions relating to organizing and boxes plans as required to ship
* Creating documents that relate to the Print Room and Print Room Coordinator job procedures and functions
* Being part of testing equipment and procedures (with guidance by Sr. personnel or the Director) to study new ways of satisfying corporate requests for drawing and print services.
* Print Room should be operational from 8:00am to 5:00pm on normal SPG work days
* Responsible for maintaining both Oce’ and Canon plotters and the scanner with regard to what the manufacturer and service provider deem to be owner maintenance.
* This would include changing paper rolls, toner, developer, etc. on all plotters and light cleaning of the equipment based on manufacturer recommendations.
* Physical Requirements
* Due to the specialized equipment being used, and the necessary configuration of the Print Room, on a daily basis a candidate should be able to:
* Lift boxes of paper that weigh 50 lbs
* Lift single rolls of paper, weighing 25 lbs, 40" above the ground
* Move through a space as narrow as 12" wide to service the paper roll trays
* Physically navigate within a space approx.
* x46" while holding a 25 lbs roll of paper approx.
* above the ground
* Regularly work on a work surface approx.
* above the floor
