Performs a variety of complex printing, reproduction, detailed administrative and clerical tasks which may include, but are not necessarily limited to, general design, copying, binding, laminating to the Faculty, Staff, Students of Mississippi Valley State University and surrounding communities. Assist outside parties preparing reproduction information to be printed in the Print Shop.
Job includes having customer service skills; attend committee and other meetings for supervisor; serve as office liaison to other University units with copiers and assist when needed in scheduling repairs in various units of the University. Prepare monthly interdepartmental reports in a timely manner; prepare daily Cash Flow Reports; monitor departmental work flow and make recommendations for improvements; monitor expenses; respond to inquiries from outside the unit; ensure a smooth flow of operations; monitor and maintain inventory supplies; monitor performance staff and resolve any discrepancies or other problems; send and receive faxes; review work production of office staff; monitor projects to ensure deadlines are met; serve as informational resource to faculty and staff; provide advice on printing; handles complex problems and inquiries.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma required. Ability to plan and organize tasks to be completed; knowledge of office procedures and equipment. Advanced knowledge and skills in using office automation software applications such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Photo Shop, Adobe Illustrator, Graphics, i.e. online systems. Strong creative and editing skills. Skilled in the operation of a variety of office machines including power cutters, binding equipment, folding, laminator, scanners, photography, personal computers, fax machines, telephones and copiers.
Knowledge of office procedures and equipment. Knowledge of University and Departmental operations. Ability to effectively communicate. Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work well with people with diverse backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Computer Science preferred; Associate's degree or equivalent education and a minimum of one (1) year work experience is a plus.
