The Print Estimator is a full-time position and a critical team member responsible for providing support

for the Purchasing Team. This includes obtaining cost estimates for print, direct mail, and promotional

items and develop pricing for all clients. This individual is also responsible for supporting our clients and
vendors by managing the purchasing and coordination of our network programs. This individual will
communicate with Production Coordinators, Client Relationship Managers, and Business Development
staff regarding job specs, costs, and production methods. This person will also be responsible for
maintaining pricing worksheets for all clients, analyzing existing pricing for consistency and
competitiveness, and other administrative tasks as detailed below.
Responsibilities:
Product pricing to include: offset, digital and web print, promotional items, apparel, large format, signage, vehicle wraps, kitting, fulfillment, freight and warehousing Manage direct mail programs and kitting projects including coordinating with Clients, Internal CRM Teams, Account Executives, Production Team and Vendors Project Management for printing, fulfillment and inventory projects, including purchase orders, proofing, delivery and warehousing requirements Work closely with all stakeholders to gather information regarding projects and consult regarding print capabilities and piece design Manages projects independently to ensure Vendors are meeting agreed upon production schedules, timelines, and quality standards Build relationships with Clients and consult with them for printing projects and network programs to create effective solutions Use job management software (P3) to estimate, manage, track, award, and invoice jobs to Vendors Use internal Zendesk system to manage, track job status, assign activities across various departments, and store job files that will be required to close jobs Manage Vehicle Graphic vendors, client communication and orders for custom inquiries and installation charges
Required:
Must reside in South Florida 5 years experience in Print Management and Print Buying/Estimating Strong understanding of Print manufacturing workflows and vendor capabilities Strong interpersonal communication skills and organization skills 3-5 years experience in mail services, kitting, fulfillment, logistics and data management Basic knowledge of USPS and Canada Mail Requirements as it pertains to Print specifications Strong analytical skills Strong math and computer skills, proficient in MS Excel, Google sheets Organized, detail oriented, self motivated and problem solver Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects Ability to learn new technologies, processes, software and computers quickly Quick Learner

Quad In-Store is currently seeking an Estimator for our facility in New Berlin, WI. The job duties for this position include, but are not limited to:
Review project specifications and prepare cost estimates for labor and materials.
Offer suggestions regarding production techniques or materials to lower costs.
Develop project plan estimate that best utilizes our equipment and manufacturing capabilities.
Secure best pricing for project components, such as print substrates and hardware.
Secure pricing for services with outsource vendors when required.
Effectively communicate with sales, account managers, job planners, and designers.




Qualifications:




High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in Estimating or Project Planning in the Print Industry.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office equipment.
Working knowledge of Estimating Systems such as Pace, Monarch or similar ERP modules.
General characteristics of the successful candidate include:
Qualified candidate must have a good understanding of the print process. Experience in a Point of Purchase (POP) manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of printing substrates, inks and coatings, and finishing processes a plus.
Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and possess good analytical and follow-up skills.
Strong organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Able to work independently and collaboratively. Able to thrive in a team environment.

This individual will be responsible for preparing estimates for all potential jobs, planning production requirements for all jobs and effectively communicating requirements and plans for all jobs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with managers, supervisors, manufacturing personnel, and account managers to develop, review and/or confirm information regarding various manufacturing plans including new manufacturing methods.

Estimate and Plan jobs in the most efficient and economical fashion from a manufacturing cost perspective.

When called upon, follow-up on jobs to evaluate why they performed better or worse than planned and incorporate the knowledge gained from this evaluation into the planning / estimating process.

Deal effectively with internal and external customer requests in a responsive and timely manner.

Coordinate the manufacturing of jobs with outside service vendors after negotiating pricing and scheduling of materials. When needed, call, or visit the outside vendors to discuss the manufacturing plan and/or review the manufacturing of jobs.

Evaluate pricing from outside vendors to insure they are competitive with respect to the market price of service provided; especially when sending out work we can perform.

Partner with Purchasing to continually evaluate the performance of our outside vendors.

Anticipate and assist the manufacturing group solving production related problems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

College degree or combination of equivalent related experience and education. Must have a minimum of 3 years experience with printing company.

Language Skills:

Able to read, analyze, and interpret job related specifications and Request for Proposal verbiage. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from internal or external customers. Ability to effectively present information to senior management.

Mathematical Skills:

Able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, analysis of variance, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability:

Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have intermediate PC skills to include knowledge of Windows, Excel, and simple data entry skills.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

None required.

Must understand imposition and layouts.
