Education:

Language & Authorization:
- Professional proficiency in English.

Experience:
- Prior experience working with children in a structured setting is an asset.
Physical Requirements:

Job Description
Tutor: will arrange for meeting times, obtain information about the relevant course, and tutor the tutee. Tutors will report progress of tutees to the hiring supervisor, and also report to the department tutor coordinator. 1-6 hours/week
Grader: work with an instructor of a course, grade to given rubrics, collect and return assignments as designated by instructor, and possibly work with an electronic grading system. A Grader will maintain frequent contact with the instructor and provide feedback regarding student progress.
Graders will report progress to the hiring supervisor, and also report to the department tutor coordinator. 3-6 hours/week/course section
Supplemental Instructor (SI): work with the instructor, hold review/help sessions, and may be asked to attend classes or assist in lab sessions. POSITION OVERVIEW
The Special Education Paraprofessional's primary duties include assisting our Teachers with classroom lessons, activities, organization management, supervising students, and providing students with a positive and nurturing guide. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (required); associate's degree or higher in education or a related field (preferred).
Highly qualified status required.
Previous experience working with children or adolescents, especially in an educational or special needs setting (preferred).
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students with diverse needs.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods.
Ability to assist students with physical needs, including mobility assistance if necessary.
