This on-campus position involves working with students from all disciplines and academic levels at any stage of the writing process, with the goal of helping them develop the skills and confidence necessary to engage in academic writing communities. The Lead Writing Tutor is expected to stay current in writing studies, writing center theory, and best practices in the field. Additional responsibilities may include developing targeted programming for specific student populations-such as conversation groups for English language learners, writing refreshers for returning students, and APA workshops for allied health majors. In collaboration with English faculty, this position will support ENG 101 by observing a minimum of one course each semester and leading group tutoring hours as part of supplemental instruction. Hours: Assistant Teachers can fluctuate between part and full-time based on their work availability and LE3's needs during the academic year and/or summer program. Job Title: Teacher Aide/One on One Aide Department: HGLCS The Teacher Aide/One on One Aide supports students throughout the school day by assisting with classwork, keeping them on task, and offering guidance during times of frustration.
