Job Summary:
The classroom teacher will lead students toward the fulfillment of their potential by translating the district curriculum standards and objectives into meaningful learning experiences through classroom instruction and indirectly through special area assignments. The teacher is responsible for maintaining a positive and appropriate educational environment and creating a program that meets the intellectual and emotional needs of all students.
Candidates must complete an on-line application which requires appropriate Arizona certification, valid IVP Arizona fingerprint clearance card, evidence of highly qualified status, three letters of recommendation, and transcript of credits.

Establishes, supports and administers positive classroom management in accordance with regulations

Works with parents and school personnel representatives to provide an appropriate education for each student
Produces, utilizes and maintains student records that relate to student achievement, attendance and discipline

Position Details
Location: In-person tutoring in students' homes across Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Tempe, and Ahwatukee (assignments within 20 minutes of your chosen location).
Hours: 4-6 hours per week, with availability required between 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Monday-Friday.
Compensation: $18-$27 per hour (contract position).
What We're Looking For
Tutoring Experience: Background in teaching or tutoring students in math, elementary reading and math, or test prep.
Education: Currently enrolled in college or hold a college degree.
Strong Communication Skills: Ability to engage students and adapt to their learning styles.
Reliable Transportation: Ability to travel to students' homes.
Passion for Education: A commitment to helping students grow academically and build confidence.
Bonus: Specialized certifications are welcomed but not required.
