from entry-level to advanced level. This position works under the direction of the Tutoring Coordinator and LEP Associate Director. LEP Tutors assist students in building confidence, independence, and academic skills in a one-on-one setting. Tutors are also responsible for providing students with access to resources that will encourage them to achieve academic goals. Tutoring at the LEP is NOT teaching and potential applicants will need to clearly understand the difference between teaching and tutoring.
Hours worked are based on student request and student needs during Fall, Winter, and Spring quarters with additional hours to be approved and/or required by the LEP Tutoring Coordinator.
All LEP Tutors fall under the direct supervision of the LEP Tutoring Coordinator. Each tutor is assigned to a Lead Tutor who will act as their tutor mentor during their time as an LEP Tutor.
The Learning Effectiveness Program is a unique program that serves students who are neurodiverse learners. Our students are individuals who require competent and skilled tutors to assist them in learning academic, and some non-academic skills needed to be successful at DU. LEP Professional Tutors must have at least 1 year of demonstrated experience in the subjects they want to tutor.
Be willing to adapt tutoring behaviors based on best practices and LEP needs.
Will need to provide unofficial transcript to prove grades on courses that they want to tutor or show equivalent professional experience in subject area.
Will need to be located in Denver Metro area and be able to provide in-person availability.
Initial Tutor Training on Canvas must be completed and LEP Tutor must have their active schedule loaded in Accudemia by WEEK 10 of the quarter they were hired (or 10 week timeframe) in order to continue in the role of LEP Tutor. Failure to complete training or load schedules by the end of the quarter they were hired (or 10 week timeframe) will result in removal from their role and will need to re-apply.

Work Schedule
This is a part-time, non-benefitted position. The hours for this position are flexible. Tutors can set their hours of availability but will only be paid for actual tutoring time. Tutor hours are dependent up on student appointment requests. There are other paid opportunities such as Prep time, Admin time, and time spent on professional development activities required by the Tutoring Coordinator. Tutors may not work over 40 hours per week, or 80 hours per 2-week pay period. LEP Tutors as Part-time non-benefitted employees, may not work over 1000 hours across all university jobs from January 2026-December 2026.
All new tutors are required to complete the New Tutor Orientation online training and the CRLA Level 1 (Basics of Tutoring) online training before they will be allowed to begin tutoring. Initial Tutor Training on Canvas must be completed and LEP Tutor must have their active schedule loaded in Accudemia by WEEK 10 of the quarter they were hired in order to continue in the role of LEP Tutor. Maintain student accounts on the Northstar administration platform
Assist learners with password creation and recovery
Hold proctored module tests that lead to Northstar module certification
Work with the Parent Facilitator on digital literacy needs of the INSPIRE Family Literacy Program in conjunction with Westminster Public Schools.
Track student progress toward certification attainment and report outcomes to the AELA Navigator and Director of Adult Education
Outreach to program participants for cohort participation including marketing to participants of other areas of the Program and to encourage usage among digital literacy participants

Required Qualifications:
Ability to teach online, in-person at offsite locations, and possibly during evening hours
Experience with digital learning management platforms

Primary Duties
Math Center tutors assist with answering students' math questions on a drop-in basis. Students who visit the Math Center may be enrolled in classes that range from Introductory Algebra to Differential Equations, with the majority of students being in College Algebra.
List of Job Duties:
* Ensure students sign in and sign out to help keep track of traffic in the Math Center at different times and days throughout the semester
* Work alongside another instructor and/or student hourly to answer students' math questions from a wide range of courses
* Submit bi-weekly timesheets to report hours worked in the Math Center, as well as leave requests for any absences that occur
Required Competencies
Math Center Student Hourlies should have a strong understanding and fluency of mathematics and its notation, ranging from basic math to Calculus. They should also have the desire and ability to patiently communicate math concepts to others, including those who struggle to learn math.

* Must be a FRCC student enrolled in at least 6 credits for the current semester

Relationship between Mentor and Fellow
The role of the mentor is to facilitate the Fellow's transition into his/her role as a Catholic educator in the Archdiocese of Denver, aid in the implementation of their formation, and support their long-term growth and career sustainability.
In order to increase the benefits of this mentor-mentee relationship, the following dispositions are necessary:
The mentee will take the initiative to reach out to the mentor and express honestly any struggles he/she is experiencing.
The mentee must correspond in a timely manner with his/her mentor. This expectation includes responding to emails, texts, and calls within 24 hours to ensure that the mentor can give adequate feedback and stay up to date with what is occurring in the mentee's professional life.
The mentee must be open to feedback from his/her mentor. The feedback is meant to ensure that the mentees can be the best teacher that God has called them to be. Being open to feedback means also putting into practice the feedback that has been given as a way to improve and grow.
Mentors will observe their Fellows in the classroom regularly throughout the school year. Lesson plans for each observation must be submitted to their mentor the night before.
Fellows and mentors will schedule a follow-up phone call upon completion of each observation.
Fellows will collaborate with and share all classroom expectations and procedures with their mentor before the start of the school year.
Fellows will collaborate with and share at least two weeks of lesson plans with their mentor before the start of the school year.
Mentors will help Fellows set goals before the start of the year and at the semester break.
Mentors will provide support in all four aspects of formation: human, intellectual, spiritual, and pedagogical.
The mentor will work in close collaboration with the school principal as well in order to ensure that the Fellow is meeting all the standards and expectations of the school. The mentor will correspond directly with the Executive Director should there be any need for intervention.

Cabrini Teaching Fellows is a holistic formation community of educators committed to renewing Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Denver. The fellowship offers postgraduate training and formation to young adults who will teach in Catholic schools across the Archdiocese, contributing to the spiritual and academic renewal of Catholic education. Fellows engage in professional and personal growth while being part of a supportive, faith-driven community.
Key Responsibilities:
Observation and Feedback: Observe mentees at least once a week for the first month and a half of school, then transition to monthly observations. Have follow-up conversations after each observation.

Support and Guidance:?Be available to aid in other school-related situations where the Fellow may require advice before proceeding (e.g., parent conversations and student situations).
