East Palo Alto Tennis and Tutoring (EPATT) is a nonprofit serving K12 students since 1988 through academic tutoring, tennis, and enrichment activities. Our mission is to help students become college and career-ready.
Position Summary
Do you want to equip youth for college and career readiness?! Then EPATT tutoring wants you! EPATT Tutors provide 1:1 academic support to students in grades K12 using EPATTs curriculum. Subjects include Reading, Math, Science, or SAT Prep.
What Were Looking For
Located in California and authorized to work in the U.S.
Strong understanding of K-12 math, reading, and writing
College students or graduates preferred (high school seniors with a 3.5+ GPA may apply)
Organized, responsible, and energetic
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working with youth from under-resourced communities is a plus
Technology Requirements
Comfortable using technology to lead virtual tutoring sessions.
Able to independently troubleshoot basic tech issues and support students as needed.

Reliable high-speed internet connection required.
Willing to learn and adapt to new digital tools as needed.

The Role
We are looking for Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) Tutors who are passionate about education and driven to help students succeed. We are looking for dedicated and knowledgeable tutors to provide online academic support to students. Tutors deliver virtual small-group instruction (typically 1-2 students per session) in a supportive virtual environment, leading to a significant increase in math and English Language Arts (ELA) achievement.
We are looking for tutors with a consistent schedule who are available at least 5 hours per week, Monday through Friday, between 8 AM and 4 PM. Schedules will be determined during training and remain consistent throughout the semester.
Spring Semester:
Asynchronous Training: launches December (approx. 5-15 Hours)
Tutoring: February 2 through April 17 (10 weeks)
Compensation
Training: $17/hr payment to be received in a lump sum after the completion of training
Tutoring: $18 to $20 an hour based on experience. Payment to be invoiced every 2 weeks, with a 1-week turnaround in payment.
A perfect attendance bonus of $200 for tutors who attend all training sessions and tutoring sessions.
