All tutoring at Kilgore College aims to help students (tutees) become more independent learners. Tutors provide individual and group tutoring to students across various courses. Tutors meet with students on a short or long-term basis to clarify and review concepts taught in class, explain processes, and help students solve specific problems. Tutoring is a "student-centered" activity, and as such, the emphasis and content of the tutoring sessions are determined by the student's needs. Tutoring is a supplement to teaching, not a replacement for class attendance and participation.

Attend ten (10) hours of mandatory tutor training during your first two (2) semesters of tutoring.

This position is not eligible for remote work and will work on site. This is a year-round teaching position and is not seasonal.
