Position Description: Professional Tutors support students in group tutoring sessions and 1-1 appointments for the course(s) for which they are hired. Tutors guide students in understanding their course resources, connecting ideas together and to real-life experiences, and applying information and skills to problems and scenarios. We are currently seeking a tutor to support a range of undergraduate and graduate courses in education as well as the Foundations of Reading exam. Hours: Tutors generally work 2-6 hours a week depending on the number of courses they support. Days and times vary based on the tutor's and students' schedule. The CAE is open Monday to Thursday 9am-8pm and Friday from 9am to 5pm. All new tutors will attend a paid 8-hour pre-semester training and 2.5 hours of professional development meetings a month.
