David Mountcastle, MBA, CPA, is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Privia Health. He has extensive experience in both the healthcare and technology industries and vast experience ranging from working with start-up enterprises to large, publicly traded companies.

Prior to joining Privia, David was Chief Financial Officer for Brainware, Inc., helping it grow from start-up to eventual purchase by Lexmark International for more than $150 million. Prior to that David was Controller/Director of Finance for VT iDirect Technologies, helping it grow from start-up to a strategic exit for its investors. Earlier in his career, David was the Controller for HealthSpring Inc., which was later sold to United HealthCare (UHC) (through an acquisition of MetraHealth, Inc.). David then became the Director of Finance for UHC and helped UHC start a new HMO in Virginia that was co-owned by UHC and a group of independent physicians (Virginia Physicians Network). David also served as the CFO for Southern Health for a few years after UHC before joining VT iDirect Technologies.

David began his career with Ernst & Young, LLP in its entrepreneurial services division as an auditor. David has been a CPA for more than 20 years and has a bachelor’s in Accounting Information Systems from James Madison University and an MBA with dual concentration in Finance and Information Systems from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Chris Voigt is Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Privia Health. He previously served as the Vice President of Business and Product Development for Privia Health and has more than 14 years experience in the healthcare interoperability field, including leading architecture, design and construction of public and private health information exchanges (HIE).

Prior to Privia, he led corporate development for HIE service provider MobileMD, which was acquired by Siemens in 2011, and the U.S. HIE practice for systems integrator CGI. He has been involved in healthcare interoperability standards development including HL7, IHE, NIHN, HITSP, and most recently the Direct Project.

Keith Fernandez, MD, is Chief Clinical Officer of Privia Health. He joined Privia in 2016 and previously served as the Senior Physician Executive.

Prior to joining Privia, Dr. Fernandez served as President and Physician-in-Chief of the Memorial Hermann Physician Network (MHMD), Chief Medical Officer of the Memorial Hermann Accountable Care Organization, and chairman of MHMD’s Clinical Programs Committee. In those roles he developed a robust clinic integration program with over 2,000 physicians, 90 percent of whom operated in private practices, and more than 50 physician-led committees that provided quality, safety, and vendor governance for Memorial Hermann. Dr. Fernandez also spearheaded the development of MHMD’s Patient Centered Medical Homes and Care Management program. This program formed the bedrock of the most financially successful Medicare Shared Savings Program for three years, generated more than $180 million in shared savings, and multiple high-performance commercial ACOs, Medicare Advantage, and risk-based contracts.

Dr. Fernandez is a member of the Joint Commission Stakeholder Group on Clinically Integrated Networks, AHA Blue Ribbon Panel on Physician Governance, Texas Medical Association Committee on Accountable Care, and a Fellow of the American College of Gastroenterology. He currently has a faculty appointment as Professor of Medicine at the University of Texas at Houston. He has spoken and conducted retreats across the country for physician organizations, hospital systems, and business coalitions with an emphasis on new models of care, building trust, and the need for physician leadership in all areas of healthcare.

Dr. Fernandez earned his bachelor’s from Florida State University and his medical doctorate from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences Ebert School of Medicine. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center and is board certified in Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
