People First in Red Bluff Local Team Collaboration: Join our close-knit team of six physicians and three APPs, with the support of a clinical performance nurse at St. Elizabeth Community Hospital. Our dedicated team consists of two hospitalists during the day and one at night (one APP during the day). We are a diverse team from different ethnic backgrounds and training programs, including internal medicine, internal medicine/pediatrics, and family medicine. At St. Elizabeth, we're more than just a healthcare team; we're a community. We actively participate in various hospital committees. Qualifications: A Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution. Board certified/eligible in internal, family medicine, or med/peds. Med/peds or family medicine will also have the opportunity to provide coverage for pediatric patients. Practice in the Heart of the Community Flexible Scheduling: We offer an array of flexible scheduling options, including a balanced 7-on/7-off block schedule allowing for quality time at work and home. Key Responsibilities: You'll experience an average census of 10-12 per physician, with 1-3 admissions per day and 2-6 admissions per night. For pediatric coverage, you'll experience 1-2 patients per day - primarily newborns, may also require resuscitation for critical newborns until transfer, - assist ER in facilitating transfers of critical patients. We welcome the challenge of complex cases, working in an open ICU with telemedicine critical care 24/7. We do most procedures and run codes. Cerner EMR and access to Sound Physicians internal informatics platform. Phone consultations with specialists at our larger regional hospital complement opportunities for independent practice. We maintain strong connections through team meetings held monthly or bi-monthly. The Supplemental OB Hospitalist position is designed to support the established groups of OB Hospitalists located at Legacy Salmon Creek Medical Center in Vancouver, WA. Additional opportunities for coverage at other sites within the Legacy system may be available if interested. The OB Hospitalists support the inpatient needs of the Legacy Medical Group (LMG) Maternal Fetal Medicine service. The OB Hospitalists and the MFM providers work closely together on a daily basis, and the MFM practice has 24/7 (not in-house) coverage available. The OB Hospitalist also provides backup to the LMG Midwifery Practice (all CNMs), coverage for unassigned labor/triage patients, support of our private practice OB colleagues as needed (i.e. C-section assisting). Both locations have Level IV NICUs and serve a vital role in the surrounding communities for high-risk pregnancies. Dedicated in-house Anesthesia is present 24/7 at both sites. Local academic OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents provide coverage 24/7 at LEMC, with occasional medical student rotations at both sites. No clinic responsibilities. Requirements and Qualifications: Graduate of four-year U.S. Medical School or equivalent with residency completed in OB/GYN Board Certified or Board Eligible in OB-GYN. Unrestricted license to practice medicine in Oregon and Washington. Current BLS from the American Heart Association required. Bilingual a plus! Required procedures/skills: Full OB scope of both low and high-risk pregnancies including NSVD, operative vaginal delivery, cesarean section, management of third stage labor, hemorrhage, level 1 ultrasound, repair of episiotomy and lacerations, VBAC, post-partum D&C etc. In-house 24-hour shifts (designated, well-appointed call room) Pay Rate $200 Hourly Rate Limited Duration Period; Subject to change based on fair market value.
