Our Orthopedic patients include joint replacements, traumatic fractures and injuries to the extremities, and back pain. 4NW also cares for a variety of both medical and surgical neurological patients including stroke, movement disorders, traumatic brain/spinal injuries, and mixed neurosurgical patients. All nursing staff are NIHSS stroke certified and all caregivers receive specialized training to promote safe and early mobilization of post-surgical joint patients. We are very proud to represent two Centers of Excellence recognized by the Joint Commission. The Joint Replacement Center of Excellence for both Hip and Knee focuses on creating the best and safest patient experience for our joint replacement patients. The Stroke Center of Excellence focuses on the best care and treatment for our stroke patients. Schedule Details: This 0.6 FTE commits to 20 hours per week. Monday-Friday hours are 8-430. Other Responsibilities Include: Experience performing EEGs. Prepares patient for exam and performs exams and procedures. Gathers a comprehensive patient history, appropriate information from patient, patient's records and family members to include neurological symptomatology and medications. Explains test procedures to patient and family members. Performs procedures according to the laboratory standards and implements alternative methods and/or adjusts controls to obtain optimal recordings. This may include appropriate control setting changes on the equipment, use of extra electrodes, extra montages and use of activation procedures. Recognizes patient or environmental artifact. Documents, eliminates or takes proper measure to monitor the artifact. Troubleshoots equipment problems and repairs or reports to supervisor immediately. Ability to learn EPIC charting system. Performs various patient positioning and transporting duties, which require lifting and pushing/pulling, while utilizing proper technique. Medical Imaging services are provided at multiple locations including Waukesha Memorial, Oconomowoc Memorial, ProHealth Mukwonago, two cancer centers and many of our ProHealth Care Medical Group Clinic locations. Services include General X-Ray, CT and MRI scanning, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT and Ultrasound in both inpatient and outpatient settings. What You Will Do: Responsible for performing senior-level clerical and administrative duties within the Radiology department setting, including and greeting patients, customers, and families, scheduling radiology exams, check-in, exam arrival, payment collection, and distribution of oral prep. Provides clerical support for radiologists, administrative and technical staff, including sorting mail, filing, answering phones, and restocking supplies. Start times vary from 1400-1500 based on assignment/day of week. This position will work every 3rd weekend and 2 holidays per year This is a full generalist position, rotating through all laboratory departments (Hematology/Coagulation, Chemistry/Urinalysis and Blood Bank).
