Education, Training and Experience Guidelines: High School Diploma or GED required. Prefer six (6) months of experience in golf course pro shop operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Knowledge of the game of golf
- Knowledge of the equipment used in the game of golf
- Knowledge of basic clerical accounting principals
- Knowledge of procedures necessary to complete daily reports and records
- Knowledge of policies and procedures and rules and regulations involved in the operation of a golf facility
- Skill in operating a cash register and related credit card equipment

Physical Requirements:
Besides the physical requirements mentioned above, the employee will be required to meet the following physical requirements:
- Lifting: 10+ pounds to lift and carry office supplies, files or equipment.
- Agility: Required to use fine manipulation in using computer, typewriter, calculator, telephones, other office equipment and copying machines; to file, collate, stuff envelopes, maintain logs etc.
- Vision: Required to see visual signals such as flashing lights, cursors, displays on computer, calculator, copy machine etc.
- Hearing: Uses auditory senses for answering telephones and working with citizens by telephone or in person while assisting them with golf course business, i.e. information on various programs etc.
- Reading: Required to read directions, schedules and educational materials.
- Writing: Required to write reports, memos, etc., in a comprehensive and legible manner.
- Speaking: Required to enunciate and relay information to citizens, co-workers and supervisors via telephone and in person.
- Environment: Must work in an office with traffic, telephone calls, visitors, etc. Required to sit for extended periods of time while working with computer or completing other job duties. Required to accomplish filing duties in cabinet drawers extending from floor level to approximately five (5) feet in height and one extending to the ceiling. Required, as needed, to cover for other clerical staff while completing own job duties.

**Definition** : Duties of the assistant golf professional include: assisting in operations pertaining to the golf shop & outside service activities, teaching golf clinics and junior camps, assisting with physical inventory, ensuring accurate tracking of golf rounds, customer preferences & usage patterns, scheduling tee times and handling customer inquiries. **Golf Operations:**
+ Daily shifts at the golf operations check in desk.
+ Accurately complete the daily close-out procedure and make daily deposit immediately following the end of shift.

+ Do monthly golf events calendar to assist golf course maintenance, F&B department and member service staff.
