+ Assists with machine setup, prepares machinery for operation by setting up tools, loading materials, and adjusting settings as directed by the primary operator. + Supplies raw material or component specific to the press machine as needed, ensuring a steady flow of materials to maintain efficient production levels.
+ Monitors press machine operations, observes the machine during operation to ensure the machine is running as expected, notifying the primary operator or supervisor of any issues or malfunctions.
+ Assists with routine maintenance, such as cleaning, lubricating, or replacing parts, adjusting machine settings, or other standard practices to ensure proper operation of the machine and to maintain quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
+ Troubleshoots minor technical issues, performs minor repairs or adjustments under the guidance of the primary operator or maintenance personnel.
+ Ability to fill-in or temporarily run the machine during shift changes, or as necessary.
+ Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment by performing standard tasks such as removing debris or waste materials.
+ Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, to prevent accidents or injuries. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment(PPE) as required by safety policies and reports any safety hazards or concerns to the appropriate team member.
+ Completes production logs or reports as required for documentation purposes, including but not limited to, production output, machine downtime, or any maintenance or repair activities.
+ Effectively works with other departments or team members including maintenance, material handling, quality, inventory, scheduling, supervisors, customer service, or any other members of the production team as directed by supervisors.

PRINTINGPRESSOPERATOR JOB SUMMARY: To lead the press crew in the everyday operation of the press, to ensure that we get make-readies and runs in the most efficient manner possible to achieve top quality production. They understand and align business operations and the Department as he/she executes their role to exceed customer expectations and align with GPI business, cultural, financial and operational objectives.
Primary Responsibilities are, but not limited to the following:
JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include but are not limited to the following:
* Setup and adjust press
* Troubleshoot and correct quality/machine problems
* Review job bag to ensure proper specifications
* Direct crews to stay on task
* Control color to proper delta E
* Ability to use densitometer
* Perform PM and minor repairs
* Work with Printing Manager to suggest potential improvements (productivity, process & quality)
* Ensure necessary color or register corrections and/or press adjustments prior to production run to meet and maintain the quality of specifications of the work
* Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job successfully
* Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels, jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools.
* Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
* Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning mechanism on press.
* Primary point man for maintenance of the press.
* Performs other duties as required to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company.
BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
* Prior experience in a similar PressOperator role required
* Manufacturing experience preferred
* Experience operating hand jacks, electric pallet jacks and forklifts preferred

Oliver Inc. is looking for an experienced PressmanOperator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have offset press experience and operate the assigned press, ensuring that the quality of printed work is compliant with the clients' requirements. The person will direct the operations of the press, collaborating with all Departments involved in the manufacturing flow, ensuring the safety of each activity.
Shift: 2nd Shift
Mon-Th 2:30PM to 12AM
About the Role:
In this opportunity as a PressmanOperator, you will:
Operatepress in compliance with good manufacturing practices and based on instructions and standards on the job ticket.
Adhere to press schedule provided by planning. Make recommendations for optimizing the schedule to meet production and standards.
Perform make-ready and adjustments to the press to ensure proper print quality and color match for production.
Monitor production by inspecting and adjusting, as needed, to print quality and color to ensure match.
Maximize the utilization of equipment by operation of the machinery at available capacity and speed.
Perform the machine preventive maintenance.
Understands the importance of pressroom KPI's.
Keep the area clean and all material properly identified.
Report any quality problems to the supervisor and sort as necessary to keep the machine running.
Comply with all company policies including safety and maintaining good housekeeping.
About You:
You're a fit for the role of PressmanOperator if your background includes:
5 or more years of experience operating offset printingpresses.
The ability to print on multiple substrates and calipers.
Work with color books, sampling process; know how to read quality and engineering drawings.
Understand units of measurement, and use of quality and calibration tools.

Perform daily, weekly, and monthly preventative machine maintenance
Provides feedback and recommendations for product enhancements or improvements
Assist in the development and implementation of corrective action for quality
Perform other duties as requested
To work with the blanking and forming teams, to achieve manufacturing targets.
Maintain agreed standard of cleanliness of machine and work area.
Carry out quality checks in line with procedure.
Identify and report manufacturing problems and initiation of corrective action, if needed.
Work to EHS, Quality and GMP standards always.
Train team colleagues as requested by supervisor.
Participate in TPM improvements initiated by the company
Requirements
Previous printing experience REQUIRED
Flexographic Printing Knowledge, water-based ink systems, strongly PREFERRED
High speed machine operating experience
Strong math skills (measurements, percentages, calculate footage, etc.)
Mechanical aptitude
Methodical / structured approach to troubleshooting.
