Nature of Work Vacancies: 1 Under general supervision, performs work at the beginning level in investigating, counseling, and providing continuous supervision for a designated caseload of probationers, parolees, and mandatory supervision of offenders to assist in their social and personal adjustment. Work involves contact with potentially dangerous clients with criminal backgrounds. This is a statutory position that is responsible for supervising approximately 180 offenders in Berkeley County, 60 offenders in Morgan County, and 65 offenders in Jefferson County, in addition to completing all assignments to include, but will not be limited to, home plan investigation and other investigative reports, clemency reports, co-operative investigations for other states, post-sentence reports for the Parole Board and corrections facilities and violation reports in the region.
