Make a Difference
Virtual Patient Safety Monitors will consistently monitor the patient environment for any potential harms i.e. bed low position, use of gait belt, tampering of IV pump, bed alarms etc.) and report to appropriate on-site care team member to address. This work will occur from a remote work location and use multiple methods of communication to interact with the patient and care team in the department. Works under
the direction of a Registered Nurse. Performs indirect patient care. Indirect patient care can include documentation, assist to reinforce patient/family education initiated by licensed provider or RN and orienting patients and staff to the unit. Collaborates with other team members to perform other services as directed.
• Clinical Practice\: Assists Care Team with patient care under the direct supervision of the Registered Nurse(s). Performs patient care in accordance with unit specific guidelines or standards and under the direction of the Registered Nurse. Assist patient with personal needs. Reorient confused patients. Utilize distraction therapy (reading to patient, providing music, playing games etc). Patient safety monitoring as directed by RN. Follows the patient plan of care including but not limited to fall prevention, alcohol withdrawal etc. Utilizes EVADE training as an aggressive behavior management tool
• Department/Unit Accountabilities\: Greet patient/family and provide orientation to unit/center, room and virtual technology/tools. Attends team meetings and completes education modules at the direction of unit leadership.
• Communication\: Communicate any changes in patient status to nurse promptly. Verbally engage patients and communicate updates and issues/concerns to appropriate RN. Promptly addressing identified and or patient communicated needs. Actively participates in handoff communication between shifts and prior to scheduled breaks.
• Safety\: Actively participates in maintaining a culture of safety by reporting safety concerns promptly to appropriate department, nurse or supervisor.
• Customer Service\: Identify the needs and expectations of customers and strive to exceed them.

* Cleans indoor and/or outdoor smoking areas.
* Sweeps, mops, scrubs, strips, extract, waxes, buff, vacuums, etc. all types of floors.
* Dusts both low and high areas. Wipes down or cleans various surfaces.
* Uses appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions for all tasks.
* Removes and properly disposes of discarded materials.
* May compact trash.
* Removes and transports trash to the appropriate disposal areas.
* Remove linen, towels, and trash from various areas.
* Restocks sleeping rooms and bathrooms, verifying that towels, sheets and blankets are available for each appropriate room.

* Refuel and check fluids (oil, water, etc.) as needed, using site-supplied consumables.
* Support additional transportation needs such as VIP or group visits when required.

* This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
* Must have at least three (3) years' experience driving in winter/arctic weather conditions, with preference to that experience driving on ice and in remote mining locations.
* At least one (1) year experience that evidences a working knowledge of commercial cleaning equipment and industrial cleaning processes.
* At least one (1) year experience in commercial housekeeping.
* A valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NMS' vehicle insurance policy.
* Must pass all pre-employment contract requirements which may include but are not limited to: drug test, physical and fit for duty assessment and hearing test. Applicants not located near a testing facility are responsible for paying for travel to the nearest testing facility.
* Must be able to cooperate and work as part of a team with fellow employees, customers and clients.
* Must be able to make decisions in the moment with little to no supervision.
* Must be able to be on your feet for 12 hours per shift for the scheduled rotation.
* Must be able to live in dormitory style settings and meet cleanliness requirements of the remote camp.

Parks the bus in the designated area.
Attends all schoolbus suspension or expulsion hearings as directed.

Use the CB radio only when necessary for official schoolbusiness and in accordance with District guidelines.

Responsible for observed collection, coding and securing of specimens for drug testing, to include urine, saliva and skin patches. Complete all required paperwork and maintain cleanliness of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION
The following duties indicate the general nature and level of work performed by this position. 1. Directly observes specimen collection; codes and secures specimens for drug testing.
2. Maintains strict chain of custody procedures.
3. Writes incident reports for suspected tampering.
4. Receives client payments for testing and issues receipts.
5. Retrieves specimens and delivers results to other agencies.
6. Oversees routine client activities within the facility.
7. Maintains cleanliness of the facility.
8. Provides aid in the drug testing lab.
9. Completes client forms/paperwork.
10. Assists in identification of clients for testing.
11. Answers phones and greets customers and the public.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
1. Minimum of a High School Diploma.
2. Proficiency in operating a personal computer or being able to learn.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with judges, other elected officials, Court employees, law enforcement officers, lawyers, outside agencies, businesses, and the general public.
4. Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information.
5. Ability to effectively and professionally communicate verbally and in writing in English to diverse audiences, and to produce concise, error-free documents and reports.
6. Must be conscious of and sensitive to the diversity within the Court's jurisdiction and be able to interact professionally with this diverse population of people from many different geographic, socioeconomic, religious, racial, and ethnic backgrounds on a regular basis.
7. Professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for the position.
8. Demonstrated dependability, reliability, and excellent attendance record.
9. Patience, objectivity, maturity, effectiveness under stress, initiative, adaptability, leadership, and sound judgment.
10. Must work with and may have exposure to biological waste.
