What Does A Process Controller Do At United States Steel

* Analyzes and diagnoses computer malfunctions and performs necessary corrective measures to efficiently return equipment and/or machinery to an operational state that satisfies management and operation objectives
* Refines and maintains system software used to control process equipment by modifying existing programs or developing new systems
* Monitors and conducts necessary tests to assure control systems are functioning properly
* Configure and maintain SCADA/HMI screens
* Work independently and with minimal direction in the areas of operations, security or software installation

What Does A Process Controller Do At Recology

* Under general direction, applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, perform technical accounting research and assist in the external audit of the Company.
* Maintain and update process documentation and perform tests to ensure controls in place are effective.
* Interpret new accounting pronouncements and assist in the implementation of adopting new accounting guidance such as Revenue Recognition standard and/or leasing standards.
* Assist with fixed asset and leasing activity, ensuring appropriate application of GAAP.
* Interprets and point out trends or deviations from standard.

* 66MM internal operating budget, inventory tracking of 25
* MM log feet used, production and procurement include over 850k stave sets and 875K heading sets.
* Responsible for financial leadership, analysis and reporting for $52MM annual sales of Brown
* Forman’s used barrels.
* Directly responsible for management of all financial functions for four Stave Mill operations including financial forecasting, production planning, new product analysis, establishing standard costs, establishing budgets, financial reporting, period-end closing, balance sheet review and reconciliation, control of fixed assets and capital project approval and analysis.
* Ensures the accuracy and integrity of financial records, including those used for managerial reports as well as tax and regulatory filings in accordance with BF policies and procedures, GAAP and other relevant SEC / tax regulations.
* Provides financial leadership to facilitate continuous process improvement and ensure superb resource allocation for all four Mills plus all outside wood procurement.
* Serves as the financial liaison for Mill Managers as well as WPPP leadership team members.
* Support business analysis to the used barrel sales business, including but not limited to: pricing analysis, industry trends and analysis, contract negotiations, risk analysis, budgets and forecasting.
* Oversee used barrel sales order entry and invoicing.
* Selects, develops, and supervises staff members who perform a variety of financial / accounting functions.

* Presents insightful, accurate and well thought-out analyses to various members of the WPPP Leadership Team in support of strategic decisions.
* Directs, coordinates, and prepares cost estimates and other financial analyses.
* Directs, prepares, and presents annual budgets, standards, and ongoing financial projections.
* Applies a high degree of independent thinking / decision-making and challenges operations to set ambitious yet achievable goals.
* Directs and coordinates period-end closing procedures.
* Ensures accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly financial statements and analysis.
* Directs, coordinates, and reviews manufacturing cost data and variance to standard.
* Reports related variances and trend analysis.
