The Product DevelopmentTechnician position is responsible for assisting the product development team through prototype creation, testing, gathering data and ensuring new products meet quality standards throughout the developmentprocess. This position is an ever-present resource to the operations team once the new product is launched into full production. The Product DevelopmentTechnician collaborates with engineers and designers to translate product concepts into tangible items while identifying areas for improvement and optimizing production methods.
Essential Job Functions
* Collaborate with the research and development team to achieve product goals and ensure products successfully launch.
* Follow the new product developmentprocesses and procedures consistently.
* Suggest modifications to new product developmentprocesses and procedures driving continuous improvement.
* Build and assemble prototypes using hand tools and welding equipment to the design specifications, including mechanical components, electrical systems and software functionalities.
* Conduct comprehensive testing on prototypes to assess performance, functionality, durability and compliance with product scope and requirements.
* Collect data from testing procedures, analyze results, identify areas for improvement and suggest recommended modifications.
* Provide technical feedback and request modifications to the design team on drawings, product specifications, manufacturability and required product documentation.
* Perform calibration on testing equipment as required to ensure testing results are accurate.
* Collaborate with the operations team to ensure there is a smooth transition of the new product into full scale manufacturing accompanied by complete and usable work instructions.
* Collaborate with the sales and service teams post product launch to work through any field or warranty issues as well as provide customer support as required.
* Contact third party vendors as required and needed to ensure product support.
* Leverage knowledge of others within the Product Development team in regards to methodologies, skills and equipment.
* Collaborate regularly with the Product Development, sales, and service teams on observed industry trends and emerging technologies.
* Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
* Ensures lessons learned applied to future efforts.
* Travel to customer locations including international travel and to the Iowa facility will occur 25% of the time.
* Must have valid driver's license.
* Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.

Base Compensation Range: $29.57 - $44.35 per hour

He/she must also be responsible and responsive to the needs of the sites that operate 24/7.
What You Will Do
The daily routine to support operating locations is listed below, and the expectation is that the CSC team members will work together to support operations and cover for one another when needed:
Start each day by reviewing areas/assets of responsibility (25% of day) - Deviations, Trends, Potential Problems, Diagnose and notify appropriate subject matter experts (SMEs) and the site proactively.
Identify equipment health, process controls, and process variability on areas/assets of responsibility - Pull SMEs, Vendors, Site into efforts to optimize performance/cost/quality (25% of the day)
Work together as a CSC team (GP and Vendors) on chronic problems or large opportunities where the combined skills of the team can help to solve problems (50% of the day)

The Data Engineer is to support a federally funded Phase I program focused on at-home physiologic monitoring. Minimum Required Qualifications

The salary range for this position is $ 116,000.00 - 155,000.00. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. A Day in the Life:
No two days are ever the same in this role.
Tasks can include:
Training operators in proper process, tool usage, and tool maintenance.
Collaborating with other engineering teams on process efficiency, quality, and safety improvement projects.
Developing new designs using 3D modeling software like Solidworks for carts or production tools. Then work with the fab shops to complete the fabrication of them in a timely manner.
Work closely with contractors to coordinate utility needs such as air and electrical drops, and oversee the installation of new equipment.
Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks on machinery.
Troubleshoot machines whenever the team needs extra support.
Provide hands-on support to production lines as needed.
Complete hands-on testing for new process changes
