    Process Engineer Department/Location: Production Reports To Title: Production Manager Work Schedule: Typical Monday - Friday; Occasional Off Hour, Weekends, and Holidays Job Purpose Executes various projects for collagen and skinless casing conversion, such as equipment upgrades, process improvements, product and process performance testing, data collection, application and new product development. Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for supporting the leaders of the Collagen and Skinless processes. Manufacture finished products following established Safety and Quality Control guidelines; meeting established efficiencies for lower process cost by adhering to established administrative procedures, specifications and process operating methods. Implement a variety of casing conversion projects such as equipment upgrades, process improvements, product and process performance testing, data collection, implementation and new product development. Monitor implemented, suggested and planned improvements, ensure that within the improvement's guidelines are adhered to and product specifications are met, track individual machine formats as well as the completion of the same by the personnel involved, ensure paperwork required by traceability standards. Follow up on orders established by the process leaders of the Collagen and Skinless area. Make the necessary adjustments in the equipment and/or control systems so that the product and the operating variables comply with the quality specifications. Give the necessary instructions to the personnel, direct and manage the operating personnel so that they perform their tasks correctly. In agreement with the Collagen and Skinless process leaders. Request support from support areas that complement the Collagen and Skinless process team. Tracks production schedule compliance. Reports efficiencies and implements improvements to reduce lead times and reduce waste. Works with the Collagen and Skinless production leaders during the shift to perform any necessary sampling or adjustments for quality control to ensure compliance with the established specification. Responsible for supporting and advising operators on any issues that arise. Together with the process leaders of the Collagen and Skinless area, is the contact with the logistics, warehouse, maintenance and quality areas. Responsible for promoting and supporting the continuous improvement of the company's processes and products. Applies the methods and procedures of the area (ensures that records are completed) Supervise and follow up on preventive maintenance of equipment.
