Garyville's Process Engineering team is a dynamic and collaborative environment responsible for understanding, analyzing, and improving the production units at the Garyville site. The team's key stakeholders include the production operators they support, the maintenance & reliability group, and the planning group. The Process Engineer role is key in reaching site and organizational goals related to safety, performance, TPM, and customer service. The Process Engineer is an individual contributor that will be responsible for specific production units on the Garyville site. This means the engineer will learn the chemical processes that take place in the unit, build relationships with the operators that run those processes, and communicate the KPIs and challenges of the unit's planned production. Job Description WHAT WE NEED: Sr. Process Engineer (On-site) Sigma Engineers and Constructors is seeking an (On-Site) Process Engineer for one of our client sites in Donaldsonville, LA who can provide process engineering expertise in a collaborative environment to enhance the safe, efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly operations of the nitrogen fertilizer plants. As the process technical expert, works with other engineering disciplines as well as operations, maintenance, and EHS to ensure solutions meet overall business objectives. Responsibilities: As holistic system thinkers, monitor and report on operational performance process units and key variables impacting plant efficiency, capacity, catalyst performance, emissions, and process safety. Proactively evaluate process and equipment performance to reduce plant upsets and generate solutions to resolve problems with process chemistry and equipment including pumps, compressors, turbines, heat exchangers, absorbers, strippers, boilers, combustion equipment, reactors, and high-pressure steam systems.
