Position Responsibilities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
Bachelor's degree required in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Advanced degree, MBA or MS is preferred.
5-8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
Advanced understanding in Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
Ability to work at a minimum of 80% of the time on the production floor.
Experience with simulation software (e.g., SIMIO) and CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Displays strong initiative, drive to accomplish goals, and meet company objectives.
Takes ownership and responsibility for current and past deliverables.
Ability to prototype and iterate on visual designs.
Experience with 3D printing software, equipment, and materials.
Strong data analysis skills, with proficiency in using tools such as Minitab, Excel, and SQL

Roles and Responsibilities for the Senior Process Engineer
Serve as site subject matter expert in understanding how SiC based tow interacts with mechanical systems for the transport of tow.
Utilize fundamentals related to how characteristics of the tow impact the ability to effectively move tow without filament failure. In addition, the candidate is expected to be the site expert in the mechanical systems for transporting the tow.
Utilize Six Sigma related tools to drive effective problem solving related to failures associated with the movement of tow.
Take a lead role in any efforts to redesign systems associated with the movement of SiC tow.
Support manufacturing teams as they root cause failures/ issues associated with the movement of tow and the behavior of tow in tow transport processes.
Mentor engineers and technicians in understanding critical parameters/ characteristics that impact successful transport of SiC tow.
