Including effective coordination, problem solving, training, etc. Plan and introduce equipment and process changes through Engineering Change Orders (ECOs). Trouble shoot process related issues. Determine statistical process capability for new and existing products. Improve safety, manufacturing techniques and through put. Develop and maintain process documentation. Review processing methods. Engage with the responsible function team(s) in activities associated with new process implementation and technology transfer. Assist in the development of training and provide training to production and engineering personnel during new technology transfer. Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required. Guide cost improvement/reduction programs. Develop and improve internal engineering system processes to improve engineering efficiency and effectiveness. Document and train engineering staff as needed. Qualifications: Typically requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing or electrical engineering, or related field or equivalent experience and training. Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in an automated manufacturing environment, from any of these types of highly regulated manufacturing industries: medical devices, automotive, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, defense/aerospace. Working knowledge of statistical methods, process capability studies, Process Flow Diagrams, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and manufacturing processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret data, identify trends and make data-driven decisions.
