Work Arrangements: 100% onsite, day shift M-F (flexibility to work off-shifts or weekends as needed)
In this Role You Will:
Develop an expert level understanding of the manufacturing process, mechanics, instrumentation, and product specifications of your designated line/area; provide technical support to the line/area teams.
Coach engineers/operating teams and leadership to root cause identification and elimination of losses.
Enhance overall safety, quality, and productivity by eliminating defects, identifying, and executing loss saving initiatives, and building capability in the operating teams
Owner of the Commissioning, Qualification and Verification (CQV) process for new projects. Function as single point of contact and key organizational leader between engineering and operations team to ensure full involvement during project execution and seamless transition during turnover to operations
Address gaps in line/area performance through the implementation and effective coaching of Smucker Continuous Improvement methodologies while fostering a zero-loss culture
Active participation in training and qualification programs for designated line/area; participate in assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standards
Responsible for reliability and quality data for designated line/area in Proficy plant applications software, including improving methods for collecting accurate data
Employ effective interpersonal time and resource management skills to complete projects assignments

What We are Looking For:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering
2+ years of manufacturing experience
Self-motivated and can work well with minimal direct supervision
Capable of learning technical processes and systems
Willing to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests (Travel may include domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)
Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:
A Chemical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering degree
Food manufacturing experience
Project management skills and technical problem-solving capability
Demonstrated use of formal problem-solving methodologies
Ability to work and influence within a team environment
Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment and manufacturing sites can be high.
