As a member of our team, you will work with us to deliver water quality and treatment-related projects addressing: Surface water quality issues, including disinfection byproducts precursors, microbial contaminants, taste and odor compounds, and cyanotoxins Groundwater quality issues, including nitrate, 1,2,3-trichloropropane, PFAS, hexavalent chromium, ammonia, manganese, and arsenic Distribution system water issues, including disinfectant residuals, disinfection byproducts, nitrification, and corrosion control for lead and copper Drinking water policy assessments and needs JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Study, plan, and optimize water treatment and distribution system facilities Analyze and interpret operational and water quality data Support field testing of water treatment processes at bench-, pilot-, and demonstration-scale Evaluate the treatability of source water supplies based on raw water quality and treated water quality requirements and goals Model drinking water treatment processes Prepare engineering test plans, reports, and client presentations Participate in facility startup, operator training, and process and equipment troubleshooting Prepare facility permitting documents for water treatment and distribution facilities Perform regulatory evaluation and review for treatment requirements related to existing and potential future drinking water regulations Prepare life cycle cost estimates for water treatment facilities Evaluate water treatment and distribution system operations Travel for project needs Qualifications REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES Master's degree in Environmental Engineering or related field required Engineer Intern (EI) registration Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational skills Self-motivation with a desire to be challenged Ability to work well as a team member or individually Willingness to take initiative and assume responsibility Willingness to travel for project needs and to support client interactions PREFERRED ATTRIBUTES Data analysis experience with R, Python, and/or SQL Mapping experience with GIS Experience with hydraulics and hydraulic modeling Drafting experience with CAD Additional Information JOB DETAILS: Compensation: Salary range: $70,000-$90,000, benefits, 401k + match, and bonus potential.
