The Advanced Process Control (APC) team brings over 30 years of experience in delivering high-performance control and optimization strategies-including predictive models and AI-driven solutions. The APC Consultant will be responsible for implementing online control and optimization strategies at customer manufacturing locations, using Schneider Electric's APC software technology. The deployments will normally take the form of 3 to 6 month project assignments, during which up to 50% of the consultant's time may be spent at site. Project locations will typically be in North America but may also be global. The industries concerned will span the entire process sector: from oil refining and petrochemicals to power generation, pulp and paper, and food and beverage.
The purpose of the role is to help customers achieve real operational benefits by implementing high-performance control and optimization strategies:
Increased production yield;
Reduced energy consumption;
Improved environmental compliance.
Usually working as Schneider Electric's sole representative at site, the consultant will analyze customer requirements and develop solutions that will meet or exceed expectations.
The consultant must be comfortable working in both control room and board room environments, without day‑to‑day supervision by senior colleagues. It is important that the APC consultant is comfortable interacting with employees of all levels and positions, including the executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
Execution of Advanced Process Control projects using ours APC technology. Typical project will be 3‑6 months duration with up to 50% spent on site. The consultant will be the sole Schneider Electric representative, requiring self‑confidence, independent thinking, and persistence.
Support of the Sales function: presentations to potential customers, performance of Benefit Studies, preparation of business case, project estimations, and proposal documents.
Take on new initiatives and work on innovative solutions to grow our business.
Technical support of existing customers: respond to support requests by e‑mail and/or telephone, analyze the nature of the problem, and assist customers to find a resolution. This activity is mainly office‑based but may require travel to customer sites.
Participate in technology development activities: software testing, report faults encountered during use, identify and suggest potential improvements.
Engage in the wider Control Engineering community: represent Schneider Electric at technical conferences, present technical papers, and increase personal and company profile within this sphere.
Although focused on APC, become familiar with the wider Schneider Electric DCS and AVEVA Optimization portfolio.
Travel: 50% travel, sometimes more, mostly U.S. customer sites.
Skills and Qualifications
Chemical, Control, or Electrical Engineering degree.
8+ years of industrial experience in the process sector.
Extensive experience with Advanced Process Control software such as EcoStruxure Advanced Process Control (former AVEVA APC), Aspen DMC, Honeywell Forge Advanced Process Control, Yokogawa PACE, and similar.
Knowledge of modeling dynamic processes.
Knowledge of conventional process control systems, instrumentation, DCS, historians.
Understanding of process modelling and dynamical systems.
Availability to travel away from home for up to 50% of working time.

Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking a Staff Materials & Process (M&P) Engineer in the Structures team, Product Development. Job title and salary at hire are dependent on overall experience and expertise. Working with other lead engineers within M&P, the position will become an integral part of the aircraft structures R&D to launch Team in M&P, to include ownership and execution of FAA Type Certification Plans, and Conformity Test Plans and Reports. Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
The M&P Engineer is responsible for development of aerospace material test plans, procedures, and processes, as well as the execution of testing and data analysis. In this role, you will act as a selective Subject Matter Expert within the Structures team. You will also be involved in the development of a knowledge repository database, thereby gathering, organizing, and creating a searchable database for aerospace primary structural materials.
Competency in material selection, evaluation, and testing, as well as in-depth statistical computation and analysis
Chemical makeup evaluation, and material selection recommendations including composites, adhesives, sealants, coatings, paints, primers, etc.
Write and edit Cirrus Test Plans, Test Reports, and Presentations of technical data and content
Direct and perform advanced testing on composite, metallic, and polymeric materials
Provide engineering support to Cirrus QA / QC production and continuous improvement efforts
Provide engineering expertise, work order planning, and execution of conformity documentation to support Manufacturing Engineering
Act as the Lead M&P functional engineer and liaison to the Cirrus Advanced Development and Advanced Manufacturing Teams for automation and robotics
Support production, QA, and NDT Teams with robotic programming and troubleshooting
Create and become proficient in the use and upkeep of an aircraft structures historical database tool
Evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet specification requirements and design intent
Follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns
Qualifications

Advanced knowledge of process optimization / automation, robotics, and / or laser-based material surface modification

OEM or Military Aerospace, or General Aviation experience is preferred

Position
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of composite part fabrication processes, methods, and tooling. Position may include design of tools, shop floor manufacturing support, process development and introduction of new products.

Manufacturing Engineering Responsibilities
Development of tools, processes, machines and equipment to integrate the facilities and systems for producing quality product with the optimum expenditure of capital.
Shop floor support
Responsible for applying and establishing statistical methods, which control the process and maximize productivity.

Required Qualifications
Detailed understanding of GD&T.
Experience in Work Instruction creation.
Proficient in verbal and written communication skills; able to prepare technical documents to be sent to customers.
Implementation of continuous improvements by the use of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen methods.
Reviewing drawings, models, engineering specifications, orders, and related information to obtain knowledge of manufacturing methods, procedures and activities.
Establishment of sequences of operations to fabricate and assemble composite products that promote efficient utilization of equipment and labor.
Implementing and improving new manufacturing processes.
Experience in establishing qualification plans, in order to qualify processes and equipment to the customer specifications.
Capable of designing or defining the requirements for the development of equipment, robotics, Lay-up molds, Vacuum Holding Fixtures, Shop Aids, Positioning fixtures, Go-No-Go inspection tools required for the manufacturing of new products.
Capable of performing safety, failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA), Process Capability and Total Product Maintenance (TPM) for new and existing equipment.
Understanding basic industrial engineering practices, such as, time studies, statistical analysis, ergonomic impacts, and value engineering principals.
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience with Catia V5, Inventor, Solid Works, or other 3-Dimensional CADs required.
Skilled in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
ERP system experience
Preferred Qualifications
Composite part fabrication experience.
Experience with composite process and specifications of thermoset and/or thermoplastic parts and structures.
Ply shape flat pattern development.
Tool Design experience.
Knowledge of Boeing and Airbus process and specifications.
Familiar with composite autoclave or oven curing cycles, thermal profiles, recipes, thermal effects, thermal expansion, wrinkles and tooling spring back effects.
Five to Seven years of aerospace engineering preferred.

Cirrus Aircraft is currently seeking a Staff Materials & Process (M&P) Engineer in the Structures team, Product Development. Job title and salary at hire are dependent on overall experience and expertise. Working with other lead engineers within M&P, the position will become an integral part of the aircraft structures R&D to launch Team in M&P, to include ownership and execution of FAA Type Certification Plans, and Conformity Test Plans and Reports. The M&P Team acts as a full service and support engineering Team for all Divisions of Cirrus Aircraft.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
The M&P Engineer is responsible for development of aerospace material test plans, procedures, and processes, as well as the execution of testing and data analysis. In this role, you will act as a selective Subject Matter Expert within the Structures team. You will also be involved in the development of a knowledge repository database, thereby gathering, organizing, and creating a searchable database for aerospace primary structural materials.
Competency in material selection, evaluation, and testing, as well as in-depth statistical computation and analysis
Chemical makeup evaluation, and material selection recommendations including composites, adhesives, sealants, coatings, paints, primers, etc.
Write and edit Cirrus Test Plans, Test Reports, and Presentations of technical data and content
Direct and perform advanced testing on composite, metallic, and polymeric materials
Provide engineering support to Cirrus QA / QC production and continuous improvement efforts
Provide engineering expertise, work order planning, and execution of conformity documentation to support Manufacturing Engineering
Act as the Lead M&P functional engineer and liaison to the Cirrus Advanced Development and Advanced Manufacturing Teams for automation and robotics
Support production, QA, and NDT Teams with robotic programming and troubleshooting
Create and become proficient in the use and upkeep of an aircraft structures historical database tool
Evaluate suppliers to ensure they meet specification requirements and design intent
Follow all safety standards and policies and ensure a safe operating environment, including use of appropriate protective equipment and identification of potential safety concerns
Qualifications
