    The Manufacturing Engineer position is quite varied regarding the scope of work performed. This position is responsible for creating and enhancing processes and systems by leveraging new technologies and automation. This position will research automation techniques, test new systems for efficiency and assist in the planning of factory layouts to optimize production. Requirements Essential Functions of Position: Work with Product Design Engineers and Production Engineers to improve product design for ease of manufacturing and assembly. Analyze production processes, schedules, methods and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed to improve/ optimize the manufacturing process. Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency Analyzing production data to determine route causes for machine downtime. Implement preventative maintenance schedules and help train new operators on proper machine operation for optimal performance. Coordinate equipment, maintenance and repairs to ensure manufacturers procedures and instructions are followed in order to keep production equipment operational. Maintain manufacturing process documentation (SOP's), including technical reports and process specifications Look for continuous improvement opportunities through Lean Waste reduction, 5S value stream mapping or other lean principles Ensure quality is maintained Collaborate with other engineering resources to ensure efficient production Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of manufacturing equipment and processes, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail. Associates degree in relevant field with related work experience. Knowledge of how mechanical systems and processes work. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
