Process improvement analyst job description

Develop & maintain departmental safety rules and safe work practices ensuring that each employee is working in a safe environment. Enforce safety rules and work practices within each department and conduct appropriate safety training.

Maintain and update warehousing instructions ensuring that we are conforming to corporate warehousing standards. Develop and improve warehousing techniques. Work with the packaging vendors to maintain quality, adequate stocks of materials and on time delivery.
Optimize the flow of materials to the warehouse and maintain accurate inventory records. Manage departmental expenses to meet department budgets. Work with department employees to create cost reduction projects. Review & monitor departmental equipment and supplies to make sure that they are available and in proper working order. Support warehousing and inventory accuracy improvements. Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its' Values and Principles. Directs, and coordinates warehousing activities including put away and pick accuracy, cycle counts and organization Responsible for maintaining an effective Quality System that is current, used, understood and maintained and to continually improve the products, processes and services and to ensure customer satisfaction. Maintain and improve warehousing work instructions.



Qualifications Required:



2 years of Supervision or 5 years of Production Experience Production and/or Planning & Logistics experience


Analytical/detail oriented Self-motivated Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in teams, multi-task, and take leadership responsibility Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Computer and software proficiency - including strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)


Production and/or Planning & Logistics experience



Qualifications Desired:



BS or BA in Industrial / Mechanical Engineering or Logistics SAP experience a plus Advanced Excel user - use of formulas and macros Experience in the Glass Industry Lean Manufacturing problem solving tools

Here's the Gist:
As a Continuous Improvement Analyst, you will work with the Operational Excellence team to facilitate and drive company-wide activities that drive improvements to quality, productivity, cycle-time, process / product yields, standard work, physical and procedural 5S practices. This strategic leader continues to be an advocate for future operational improvements by emphasizing system thinking, new ideas, and establishes the means to efficiently acquire and analyze timely process performance information in order to drive focus on key performance indicators (KPI). A core competency of this role is the ability to relate and collaborate with all groups and roles that will enable and drive acceptance to change.

The Day-to-Day:
Drive Continuous Improvement activities critical to each organizations KPI's.Maintain 5S progression and metric tracking, while deploying common methods across all groups and sites.Provide mentoring and training to all levels of the organization in support of waste elimination, process and flow optimization, standard work, quality and 5S compliance.This is a day shift M-F schedule; however, work schedule flexibility is mandatory as this role supports the activities of both day and night shift personnel.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications):
Able to program and modify Microsoft Power BI - SharePoint content and layouts (essential requirement). Proven activities associated with driving 5S deployment and progression across multiple groups and or sites.Minimum of 10 years as a mentor / leader in manufacturing environments, preferred.Successful execution of Continuous Improvement / Lean / Six Sigma efforts and enabling efficiency, effectiveness with tangible performance benefits.A history of engaging employees in problem solving in support of Continuous Improvement initiatives with a sense of urgency.Must be a self-starting, self-motivated, leader with highly developed interpersonal skills that blend well with all levels of the company, with excellent written and oral communication skills is vital to the position.Trainer and facilitation experience: classroom, workshop, kaizen, OTJ.Proficient in MS Office Suite.Bachelor's degree in science or business preferred.Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

Job Duties and Responsibilities


An Operational Process Improvement Analyst has a prodigious impact to DISH's operations and profitability by delivering large scale projects and driving results through detailed analysis and developing improvement plans as those projects mature. We need someone who drives results through the organization and can quickly identify improvement opportunities and solutions - while seamlessly communicating throughout the organization (both vertically and horizontally) with our partners.

Day-to-day job responsibilities:

Designs and implements changes to operational processes that improve results and reduce inefficiencies Coordinates with a variety of business units to develop, test and refine new business processes / practices. Leverages data to drive continuous improvement in areas such as productivity, network availability, quality, and technician dispatch. Teaches back lessons learned and key findings to departments with recommendations for changes and updates for training. Creates a roadmap for tools and technology needed to ensure improvement to our customer and intra and inter-departmental experience Serves as Subject Matter Expert by fully understanding the process and the impact to the operation of the overall business. Uses Lean Six Sigma and/or other process tools to detect operational trends, determine root cause, and present findings and recommendations to a wide audience, including senior leadership for continuous improvement. Identify opportunities for process improvement to create efficiencies, improve the team member experience, and/or reduce costs. Maps out processes through BPMN modeling and documents job aids, methods of procedures, standard operating procedures, policies, etc.


Skills, Experience and Requirements


A successful Operational Process Improvement Analyst will have the following:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Six Sigma/Lean experience is a plus. Ability to work with cross-functional teams to perform process analysis, improvement and implementation on a national scope. Exceptional analytical, creative, technical project management and interpersonal skills, along with an intense customer focus. Self driven with the ability to plan and organize their own work around expected deadlines. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; SQL, Python or any analytical tool experience a plus. Tactful communication (written and presentation) style; need to have the ability to create a story and value proposition, develop presentations, and present in front of internal/external clients, as well as frontline to executive levels. Experience leading by influence, and success in being a driver of change in an organization. Demonstrated ability to think creatively, deal with ambiguity, and manage changing priorities.


Salary Range


Compensation: $74,520.00/Year - $108,100.00/Year
