We are searching for highly motivated Claims Examiners to join our team! Under supervision of the Claims Supervisor, the Claims Examiner will manage claims from inception to conclusion. The position requires an individual that adheres to best practices and State of California statutes to work directly with clients, injured workers, agents, vendors, and attorneys to resolve workers compensation claims.
This position is available for either remote or in office work.
Minimum Requirements
Three (3) years of claims management experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Possession of a current Self-Insurance Plan (SIP) Certificate and insurance-related course work: CPCU, WCCA, WCCP, ARM.
Ability to administer any type of indemnity claim within the assigned caseload including those involving lost time, permanent disability residuals, and future medical claims.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure proper handling of claims from inception to conclusion per client service agreements and JT2 service standards.
Prepare accurate and timely issuance of benefits notices and required reports within statutory limits.
Reserve files in compliance with injury type; identify potential costs of medical care investigation and indemnity benefits.
Ensure timely payment of benefits, bills and appropriate caseload and performance goals.
Negotiate and prepare claims for settlement; provide manager/supervisor with complete and accurate settlement data.
Monitor, report, and assign claims for fraud potential and subrogation possibilities.
Monitor claims for pre-established criteria for case-management and vocational rehabilitation in accordance with State laws.
Prepare and present claims summaries to clients during file reviews.
Train and direct Claims Assistants to meet goals and deadlines.
Review and approve priority payments and other documents from Claims Assistants.

The PositionThe Senior Real Estate Loan Processor is responsible for delivering an exceptional member experience while processing conventional and non-conventional mortgage loans and lines of credit.
This includes all major functions during the loan process including file preparation for underwriting submission, document preparation, tracking and scanning.
The position requires data input into the loan origination system from loan origination through final loan approval.
The Senior Real Estate Loan Processor communicates on loan status to members, vendors, and any parties involved with the transaction.
The Senior Real Estate Loan Processor must be registered and NMLS compliant.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities · Prepares the data and supporting documents to support an underwriter's loan decision on real estate files on the Loan Origination System from application through final loan approval.
· Ensures timely ordering and accuracy of all loan documents and data input from such data sources as credit reports, flood certificates, preliminary title reports, homeowners' insurance, income documentation, and appraisal reports.
· Seeks out outstanding conditions and sets proper expectations for those conditions to ensure timely loan closing.
· Identifies and escalates potential problems or delays to underwriters and/or managers.
· Communicates clearly and concisely with loan originators, underwriters, and closers.
· Performs other duties as assigned Who Are You?Requirements, Skills, and Abilities· Requires an associate's degree (AA) with a minimum of four (4) years' mortgage lending experience and customer service.
· Current knowledge of Federal and State laws and regulations to ensure compliance with FHLMC, FNMA, correspondent lenders, and regulators.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate professionally.
· In depth knowledge of lending compliance, credit risk analysis, and pricing.
· Ability to work on own, and in a team environment.
· ICE/Encompass knowledge preferred.
· Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to complete multiple competing tasks at the same time, while meeting established expectations.
· Strong computer skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite.
· Must possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to identify and resolve problems and issues and also identify opportunities that can enable members to secure their financial vision.

Claims Examiner II

Reporting to Supervisor, Claims, the Claims Examiner II, is accountable for claims processing, adjudication, claims research and claims inquiries escalated from Customer Service. Must meet qualitative and quantitative standards established for this position. You will maintain claims inventory to achieve departmental metrics and process all types of claims according to regulatory requirements. Also, you must follow current claims processing procedures, produce a quality and timely work product, and assist Claims management with internal audits and special projects.
Please note that while SFHP supports a hybrid work environment, the Claims Examiner II is not required to meet the minimum in-office requirement of 4x/month, but is required to attend company meetings and other in-person events at Supervisor's discretion.
Salary: $33.65 - $38.94 per hour
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
* Keep claims inventory current to achieve departmental metrics. Clear edit queues by processing claims according to verification of eligibility, and interpretation of program benefits, and provider contracts including manual pricing.
* Conform to established standards of performance for quality and timeliness.
* Correctly match authorizations to claims.
* Coordinate benefits/other health coverage.
* Use the QNXT claims processing module in an effective and efficient manner to process claims.
* Meet production and quality standards when processing claims and performing tasks.
* Interpret medical group and provider contracts to determine claims payment methodologies.
* Review and adjudicate claims (paper and EDI) and resolve claim edits, using claims desktop procedures and reference materials.
* Review claims for correct provider coding information and the appropriateness of reported services and billing practices.
* Review claims for necessity, limitations and exclusions based on claims policies and procedures.
* Reprocess and adjust claims when needed.
* Process retro-terminations.
* Process refunds and other overpayment recovery recoupments when needed.
* Handle smaller scale projects in claims from start to finish.
* Work with Claims Management to identify system and/or training-related opportunities that contribute to the enhancement of operating results.
* Handle provider call tracking tickets promptly and courteously regarding claims status, billing, and payment issues.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
* 2 years prior work experience in claims operations environment and health care insurance business, preferably with focus on Medi-Cal claims.
* Hands-on working knowledge and background using claims processing systems.
* Demonstrated working knowledge of any editing claims system, QNXT is preferred.
* Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10 coding, medical terminology, and managed care principles.
* A high school diploma or equivalent
* Knowledge of Claims Editing Software preferred.

Who you are:

About the role
Point is looking for a Processor to join our team. You'll collect, review, and verify documents to close Home Equity Investments (HEIs), assist homeowners with their queries, and ensure all conditions are met for a smooth closing process. You'll work closely with title companies, cure title issues, and protect Point's lien position by managing title reports, payoffs, and documentation before closing
Your responsibilities
Review title reports for accuracy, completeness, and eligibility.
Work with cross-functional teams (account managers, underwriters, and closers) to successfully bring an application to a close.
Review entity documents, trust documents, and divorce decrees to determine proper curative steps to ensure a clear title.
Use skillset and knowledge of curative clearance to obtain the documentation required to clear title report and secure Point's lien position.
Review and manage the processor pipeline within the set SLA.
Clearly communicate with homeowners, title agencies, docket partners, and outside agencies (cities, counties, government agencies, debt collection agencies, and third-party vendors).
Support pre-closing activities, including obtaining evidence of insurance, updated payoffs, checking fees input by underwriting, reviewing the entire body of documentation for anything missing or inaccurate, verifying ownership, and communicating closing steps to every homeowner.
Meet or exceed daily and monthly goals, including CTC volume, call targets, and title grade clearance expectations.
About you
2+ years of U.S. mortgage processing or title curative experience preferred with an understanding of various title issues and curative measures (e.g., tax liens, probate).
Experience with US mortgage modifications is a plus.
Knowledge of common credit underwriting standards; ability to evaluate income, assets, and title reports.
Familiarity with mortgage modifications and resolving title issues (e.g., tax liens, probate) is a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Sheets, with strong computer proficiency in a paperless environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service.
