What you will be doing
The Senior Demand Planner (forecasting & analysis) manages statistical, promotional, and total forecasts to drive retail in stock conditions and optimized inventory levels. The Planner determines causal factors impacting forecasts and actuals including weather, moving seasons, etc. The Demand Planner Owns/adjusts/optimizes the promotional lift as well as the instruments that continue lift generation. The Senior Demand Planner will train a demand planning team, assisting them with daily and weekly tasks designed to guide Replenishment to the appropriate purchasing decisions needed to support the United business.
The position will be based in Boise, ID, Dallas, TX or other acceptable areas to support Supply Chain Replenishment and Planning.
Main responsibilities:
Recognizes and reconciles JDA forecast exceptions and tunes forecasts as needed.
Tracks actuals against forecast & reviews forecast accuracy (base and promo) and tunes forecast as needed.
Reviews demand history for outliers and develop recommendations and manage JDA settings related to outliers.
Manages new demand forecasting units and new product introduction processes
Manages end of life forecasts.
Manages new and conversion store forecasts.
Maintains key metrics against goals for forecast accuracy.
Follows prescriptive "day in the life" matrix to assure processes and procedures are followed.
Generates/analyzes forecast accuracy and performance reports.
Reviews and resolves exceptions.
Reviews modeling exceptions related to price and vehicle lift coefficients and related data issues.
Reviews promotional forecast including promo quantities and forecast accuracy.
Analyzes post promotional data to determine opportunities to improve future forecasts.
Collaborates with replenishment planners, retail support and other business partners to achieve key performance indicators.
Generates appropriate views of the forecast to facilitate cross-functional communication.
Drives to continuously improve the Demand Planning process and resulting forecast accuracy.
Perform market review for recent trends and recommend best practices
Act as a change champion for best practices and process adoption
Track's team performance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)

Provide guidance and direction to Demand Planners for Collaboration meetings with Merchandise and Replenishment Teams.
We are looking for candidates who possess the following:
Bachelor's degree in supply chain, finance, mathematics, business or related field or equivalent work experience.
0 -10+ years of progressive relevant data management experience, with specific experience in Demand Planning management, Sales/Marketing, Supply Chain data management or business data management. Grocery Retail or Food & Beverage industry experience preferred
