Maintain accurate purchasing and supplier records in the MRP/ERP system, ensuring data integrity for planning and reporting.
Partner with cross-functional teams (operations, finance, quality, and engineering) to support cost reduction projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
High school diploma required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
5+ years of experience as a Buyer in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated success managing suppliers and negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts.
Hands-on experience working with MRP/ERP systems and interpreting demand signals.

What a typical day looks like:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, regularly review supplier performance, and manage expectations for price, delivery, and quality. Escalate issues when necessary.
Place, modify, reschedule, and cancel orders for raw materials and purchased parts based on production requirements and MRP output. Obtain product information (pricing, availability, delivery schedules) and ensure timely supply of components at agreed prices.
Conduct regular (weekly) stock checks to avoid overstock and minimize obsolescence risk. Investigate inventory levels, resolve discrepancies with warehouse personnel, and verify critical material inventory as needed.
Track shipments, expedite deliveries when required, and coordinate with freight forwarders and warehouses to organize transportation.

As a Material Control Analyst at ADEF, you will assist in development and implementation of supplier sourcing strategies through supplier assessments and rationalization. A successful Material Control Analyst will work with and influence cross-functional teams, analyze supplier performance, identify potential risks and recommend mitigation strategies, support industrial capability and capacity assessments. Additionally, this role will lead supplier business reviews and manage supplier relationships ensuring continuity of supply and quality of product. This position is onsite, five days weekly (business hours).
Job Duties:
Procure materials, equipment, supplies and services based on program-specific requirements and specifications.
Creation and management of purchase orders in accordance with specifications, requirements, work statements and terms and conditions.
