L.A.-based Prodege is an online media company that strives to create memorable and lasting experiences with customers. The company is made up of four different user brands -- Swagbucks, MyPoints, ShopAtHome and InboxDollars. The company recently announced that it is expanding to five brands with the acquisition of CouponCause. All of these brands are different ways to reward customers for doing things the love.
For six years running, Prodege has been named a top place to work in L.A. because they take employee appreciation to a whole new level. It is a dynamic, nimble company that is experiencing rapid growth. To keep up with it, they are looking for highly motivated individuals to join their award-winning team.
Diving Into the Values at Prodege
Rewarding Customers, Rewarding Employees
The Prodege way is all about rewards. Rewarding its customers for taking chances and doing what they love. Rewarding its employees for working hard and being awesome at what they do. They also believe in helping people. They have saved their customers millions. They help people make ends meet and help them keep a little extra cash in their pockets. They value the effect that having a little bit of help like that can have.
Another way that Prodege helps out is by empowering its employees to give back to their communities. They do this with a quarterly Charitable Giving Allowance for employees to donate to the charity of their choice. They are literally giving their employees money to help people. If that isn't going above and beyond, it's hard to know what is.
Prodege People
The Prodege-ies
"At Prodege, we strive for excellence in everything we do. We seek this attitude and drive with prospective hires. This defining characteristic separates the achievers from others." That quote from Daniel Ross, the SVP of Product Management, perfectly sums up who works at Prodege.
The Prodege team is made up of diverse, passionate and creative people who are driven to reinvent the way people engage with brands. The Prodege workplace is a very collaborative one, as well. Everybody supports each others' ideas and treats each other with respect.
Hayley Lambert, an Associate Marketing Manager, said, "I feel right at home at Prodege. The people are like family and the environment is encouraging and supportive. I love that I can confidently approach any of my colleagues with a problem and we will work together to solve it."
The Culture at Prodege
The Great Melting Pot
"Prodege is a melting pot of different perspectives, backgrounds and experiences. Because of our unique mix, ways of understanding issues and creative problem-solving, I find my colleagues to be inclusive and open to new viewpoints," Avery Morton said. Avery is a Manager of E-Commerce Applications with Prodege.
The open office floor plans in Prodege offices lead to a very collaborative environment. That is where the diversity of thought and perspectives thrive most. The company also hosts all-hands meetings every quarter. This is an open forum where employees can voice opinions, concerns, praise or whatever else they think might be necessary.
"I love that different employees throughout the company get a chance to speak to everyone and discuss the projects their team has been working on. I also really enjoy that we highlight employees' tenure at the company and reward that with gift cards and cash -- and a bobblehead for those that have been here for 10 years," Nicole Schumann said. Nicole, Senior Director of Promotions, is in charge of all the fun events that the Prodege team gets to enjoy.
Prodege employees get to participate in all sorts of really fun promotions at work, as well as a lot of fun events outside of work, like happy hours. Avery had this to say about those events and what they mean to him and his fellow employees: "The group activities are very engaging and allow you to experience another side of your colleagues. It's a great way to build camaraderie and become comfortable with the people on your team and meet other people who work for the company."

Get the Edge
The interview process with Prodege is pretty straightforward. The initial interview will be a phone screening with a recruiter or HR person.
