POSITION OVERVIEW
The Video Documentation Intern plays a vital role in capturing and preserving the dynamic experiences of the Festival. Working closely with the staff videographers, the intern will gain hands-on experience in video production, post-production, and archival management, contributing to both the Festival's promotional efforts and its extensive historical documentation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Filming performances, classes, events, rehearsals, and lectures.
Editing videos used to help promote the Festival. Excerpts from the videos are used online as part of a popular resource known as Jacob's Pillow Dance Interactive.
Equipment setup and breakdown
Management of video files, DVD duplication, troubleshooting equipment, and helping maintain the Pillow's extensive video archives. The video equipment is all High Definition and 4K, and the video editing platform used is Adobe Premiere.
As a member of the intern class, you will be required to participate in general festival-related duties that aim to broaden your scope and understanding of the various arts administration and production roles that exist within this field as time allows and requirements evolve. These will include but are not limited to giving campus tours, assisting with production changeovers in the theater, golf carting patrons, handing out tickets at will call and other ways to interact with guests, moving chairs, setting up for events, errands, and transporting artists. Training will be provided prior to participation in these activities, and while these duties will be a part of your overall experience, you will still spend the majority of your time within your primary assigned role.
5-8 hours a week will be dedicated to participating in weekly seminars, career building conversations, attending dance classes, lectures, and performances.

The Role
We're seeking experienced event or sports photographers to capture dynamic dance performances across the country.
You'll travel to dance competitions and recitals, work in fast-paced lighting environments, and deliver professional images that highlight each dancer's best moments.
What You'll Do
Photograph live dance performances in low-light and stage lighting conditions
Adjust exposure, ISO, and white balance on the fly for optimal results
Manage and back up images using DanceBUG's software tools
Upload or ship event media as required
Communicate with on-site team and managers
Travel nationwide by car or plane to assigned events. (DanceBUG will provide car/flights)
Requirements
3+ years as a Photographer (event, sports, concert, theatre, or live action)
Skilled with manual camera settings under changing light
Comfortable working long production days
Valid U.S. driver's license & airport proximity (within 1 hour)
Clear criminal background & vulnerable sector check
Equipment Needed
2 professional DSLR or mirrorless bodies (Canon, Nikon, or Sony only)
2 of the following lenses (F2.8 preferred): 24-70 mm, 24-105 mm, 24-120 mm, 70-200 mm
4+ memory cards (≥ 64 GB each), 2+ batteries & charger, monopod

JOB OVERVIEW
The Electrician/Video Technician will provide technical support for both lighting and projection systems. This position focuses on the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of video hardware alongside general electrics duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Install and maintain projectors, media servers, video monitors, and cameras across all venues.
Assist with the hang, focus, and strike of lighting and projection instruments.
Assist in programming lighting computers, projections, and consoles as needed
Perform regular maintenance on conventional and intelligent lighting fixtures and video components.
Assist in building specialty items, including LED tape projects and custom practicals.
Help maintain a clean shop and organized inventory for both lighting and video assets.
Other duties as assigned by Production Management
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with HD video systems, projectors, and signal routing.
Working knowledge of theatrical lighting fixtures and DMX control.
Basic soldering and electrical wiring skills.
Must be comfortable working with students and volunteers.
Ability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably at heights.

How you'll make an impact:
Works with Producers and members of the Programming team to create superior radio programs for Fantasy Sports Radio. Supports creative processes, content development and production.
