Summary:
Must be able to handle all duties associated with General Crafts. Knowledge and experience with crane signaling and lifting devices such as hoist jack, cranes, slings, and chokers. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Fundamental Skills:
Safety practices, including selection and application of personal protective equipment, fall prevention devices, barricades, warning and signaling devices, etc.

Proper selection and use of measuring tools and instruments, including tape rules, scales, rules, vernier and dial calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, levels, etc.
Layout and Alignment Skills:
Correct application of optical and laser instruments and measuring tools for establishing center lines and elevation, as applied to installation and alignment of machinery and equipment.
Metal Skills:
Fundamental knowledge of ferrous and nonferrous metals.
Mechanical cutting, shaping, and fabrication techniques.
Oxy-fuel and plasma-arc cutting techniques.
Welding and soldering / sweating techniques.
Rigging and Moving Skills:
Selection and application of appropriate lifting devices including Jacks, hoists, forklift trucks, cranes, slings, and chokers.
Crane Signaling.
Mechanical Skills:
Pipe fitting, both plastic, and metal pipe.
Threading and welding of black and stainless pipe.
This job is safety sensitive for medical marijuana purposes.

Education/Skill Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the industrial or related fields.
Carry tools and equipment.
CDL preferred not required.
Must be able to handle all duties and physical requirements associated with General Craft.
Job requires overnight travel for up to three weeks at a time.
Physical Demands:

- Performing other duties as required such as heating/cooling load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, equipment selections, system layouts, and coordination with other design disciplines.
- Developing detailed energy models and Life Cycle Cost Analysis for various building types.

- Performing site surveys, developing equipment inventories, evaluating proposed energy efficiency measures, and recommending improvements.

POSITION SCHEDULE AND ONSITE REQUIREMENTS
This is a direct-hire, full-time, on-site position located at our Franklin, TN, office.
The schedule is Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with the ability to support local marketing events on evenings or weekends about three times per quarter.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business.
A small percentage of out-of-town, overnight travel may be required once or twice a year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Duties include the following, but other duties may be assigned as required.
Design marketing collateral, including flyers, brochures, infographics, presentations, digital ads, social media graphics, and direct mail materials.
Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to conceptualize and produce on-brand visuals that support campaigns, events, and product launches.
Uphold and evolve United Communications visual brand identity across all channels.
Assist in the development of marketing templates and guidelines for internal use.
Prepare and deliver files for print production or digital publishing.
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, adhering to deadlines and feedback cycles.
Contribute creative ideas to campaigns and promotions that drive awareness and conversions.
Edit photography, video stills, and other visual assets for internal and external use.
Maintain an organized library of design files, templates, and project archives.
Support event branding with signage, giveaways, and on-site visuals as needed.
WHAT YOU BRING
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
Minimum 3 years of professional design experience in a marketing, agency, or in-house setting.
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Canva and Microsoft Office Suite experience also preferred.
Strong visual design skills, including layout, typography, color theory, and branding.
Understanding of design for both print and digital platforms.
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to accept and incorporate feedback constructively.
A portfolio of recent design work is required at the time of application.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field; or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience working within established brand guidelines.
Familiarity with video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, After Effects) is a plus.
Experience with WordPress or website content management systems.
Understanding of accessibility and ADA-compliant design best practices.
SUCCESS METRICS (First 3-9 Months):
Deliver high-quality, on-brand designs for at least 10 major marketing initiatives or campaigns.
Maintain an organized and accessible design file system with template documentation.
Support at least 2 event activations with custom-designed materials.
Complete and circulate refreshed brand templates for sales enablement tools (flyers, PowerPoint slides, email headers) within 90 days.
Help implement updates to visual brand identity across at least 3 channels (e.g., website, email, social).

- Ability to create simple design solutions to complex problems
- Experience working with design tools such as Sketch, InVision, Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.
- Experience conducting usability testing, and understanding ADA standards and browser capabilities
- Experience being part of a large cross-functional team
- BS/BA Degree and 5+ years of experience in interactive design

MAJOR FUNCTION Assists Design Consultant in scheduling, preparing, and following with design services with Havertys customers. Will attend client's homes with Design Consultant to assure proper furniture placement and color coordination, will also recommend additional furniture and accessories for the room design as needed. Will assist Design Consultant with in-Store Engagements and in-Store Appointments with clients. Position may involve sales training directly on the sales floor to enable an understanding of the Havertys customer engagement process.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Once introduced to the client, assists Design Consultant and/or Sales Consultant by scheduling, or attending a scheduled qualified home visit. Position will require evening and weekend work at hours convenient to the Customer's schedule.
* Visits customers homes with Design Consultant, as applicable.
* Assist Design Consultant with all aspects of in-Home visits.
* Assist Design Consultant with building a personalized presentation using approved template and SWAGGER display, consisting of the colors and placement of furniture in the home, the visual samples of the actual furniture, the room plan, any needed accessories.
* May draw floor plans using Havertys.com current floor planner software.
* Will provide feedback with Design Consultant and Sales Consultant and Management after each house visit and upon completion of the floor plan and the Presentation template along with post purchase presentation.
* Will assist Sales Consultant with the creation of special-order skus and sales reserves.
* Will assist Sales Consultant with the creation of floor plans for in-store clients that need to better visualize the purchase, helping to close the sale as an in-store engagement.
* Provide constructive feedback to Design Consultant to help build the sale and increase average ticket.
* Have knowledge of special sales, financing plans, delivery procedures, warranties, etc.
* Reinforce customer selections and help bring sale to closure.
* May use My Sales Center to access and follow-up with customers.
* Maintain knowledge of broad range of furniture styles and products.
