Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IC Package Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of substrate design, package layout, signal integrity, and manufacturing constraints. This role will collaborate cross-functionality with the electrical, mechanical and manufacturing design teams to develop reliable, manufacturable, and cost-effective package design.
Design and Development: Lead the interconnect design for advanced electronic packaging solutions, including high-reliability flip-chip BGA, ceramic packages, multi-chip modules (MCMs), and system-in-package (SiP) architectures.
Verification and Validation: Perform comprehensive design verification ensuring that the package design meets all functional, electrical, thermal, mechanical, and manufacturability requirements
Collaboration: Collaborate closely with substrate, material and package suppliers to align design with process capabilities and technologies to ensure design meets electrical and mechanical performance requirements.
Troubleshooting: Support Failure Analysis (FA) and root cause investigations related to the design, assembly, or performanceof a package or substrate.
Optimization: Define and develop substrate stack-ups, routing strategies, via structures, and component placement to meet electrical and mechanical specifications.
Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, test results, and revisions to ensure clarity and consistency for release packages for manufacturing.
Planning: Develop plans, schedules, and support technical reviews that are required to develop products from market requirement through product release.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers, sharing expertise and best practices in package design and development.
Continuous Improvement: Contribute to package technology roadmap and design methodology improvements.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material science or related field.
Experience: 8+ years of experience in IC package design and development
Tool Skills: Experience with package design tools from concept through release (e.g., Cadence Allegro package designer).
Technical Skills: Proven experience with advanced packaging technologies (e.g., 2.5D/3D, redistribution layer, interposers, HBM integration, Package-in-Package, Fan-Out Wafer Level Packaging, wire bonded, Flip Chip, stacked die using DAF or FOW, Chip-on-Wafer-on-Substrate, Ceramic Co-Fire, Printed Substrate in ceramic package, plastic encapsulated modules/BGAs).
Knowledge: Strong understanding of substrate technologies (e.g., BT laminate, ABF, BeO, PTFE, KPPE, glass cloth resin), materials and manufacturing processes.
Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Desired Characteristics
Experience collaborating with OSATs and semiconductor foundries, including qualification and design feedback loops
Knowledge of high-speed digital interfaces (PCIe, DDR, SerDes, etc.).

Job Description
• Digital is looking for a strong UX/UI Designer to join the Digital Products Design Team. If you are technically proficient, creative, user-focused, and enjoy thinking through large-scale design solutions, then this could be the opportunity for you. The UX/UI Designer will collaborate with team members to conceptualize and design web, mobile and emerging media interfaces for both consumer-facing digital experiences and internal tools.
• This is a hands-on, design role where you will contribute to and support the creative and iterative process.
• UX, UI and IA and actually know the difference between them.
• You can wield Adobe s Creative Suite like a design warrior and know enough HTML and CSS to be effective.
• You have advanced knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, user testing (Multivariate A/B testing), wireframes, customer journey and experience maps, design best practices, usability standards, and current digital trends.
• You can work platform specific (iOS, Android) or platform agnostic.
• You know how to build an experience for RWD.
• You can create entirely new site experiences, or work within the parameters of an existing design system, depending on the needs of the project.
• You can communicate UX/UI strategy and rationale to key stakeholders, and work with your team and peers across CNBC to collaborate on solutions to common design problems.
• You are an advocate for the user and know how to balance business needs with usability needs.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience designing high profile, complex experiences for the web and mobile products media or entertainment, related industry experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles as well as solid knowledge of current web, mobile and desktop technologies, trends, and browser and app capabilities.
• Ability to conduct content inventories and design appropriate site flows and architecture including concept sketches, navigational structures, wireframes, site maps, information and interaction design.
• Ability to evaluate site data and make recommendations for improvements to core features.
• Must be organized, able to act independently, and be flexible to adapt to business needs.
• Great collaboration and communication skills with the ability to lead and influence others.
• Familiarity with the Agile process.
• Demonstrate ability to document work in a very thorough, clean, and concise way using industry standard tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, InVision, InDesign, or similar UX software.
• Conducting competitive audits and participating user research, concept testing, usability testing, and market research. Required Education Bachelor s degree required; preferably in a design-related discipline, such as: Web Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or equivalent work experience.

Reporting to the Creative Director, the Print & Digital Designer will be at the forefront of bringing Hofstra University's bold new brand to life across every visual touchpoint. As Hofstra launches an exciting new era with its rebrand, this is a unique opportunity for a designer to help define and express a revitalized visual identity while creating compelling, high-impact work that captures the identity, energy, and ambition of the University.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Designs print and digital materials of various sizes and formats to support University communications, including brochures, flyers, event programs, posters, advertisements, web graphics, and email assets.
* Manages multiple design projects concurrently, consistently meeting deadlines while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
* Applies meticulous attention to detail, integrates creative direction from supervisors, and incorporates feedback from clients and colleagues to refine deliverables.
* Prepares print jobs for internal production and external vendors, reviews proofs, and verifies color accuracy and print quality prior to final approval.
* Aligns all creative work with University brand standards, ensuring clarity, consistency, and effective communication of information.
* Collaborates with content creators, photographers, and fellow designers to produce cohesive, visually consistent messaging across all platforms.
* Develops and maintains digital templates, design systems, and asset libraries to streamline creative workflows.
* Implements accessibility, usability, and responsive design best practices to enhance the quality and inclusivity of all digital materials.
* Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in graphic design, web design, digital design, or interactive media required.
