Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a highly skilled Digital Designer who will elevate our brand across every digital touchpoint. This role blends strong visual design, digital production, and light web authoring to support marketing campaigns, brand storytelling, and digital experience delivery. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud, expert in Figma, comfortable working within CMS environments, and capable of producing on-brand content for web, social media, presentations, and digital campaigns. This position will be onsite at Linthicum, MD; McLean, VA; or Melbourne, FL. This position will also provide the option to work a hybrid schedule.

Digital Design & Creative Content
· Design high-quality assets for digital campaigns, product storytelling, executive communications, and internal brand initiatives.
· Create social media content including static graphics, motion snippets, carousels, and campaign visuals optimized for each platform.
· Develop digital templates, visual systems, and reusable design components aligned with our brand guidelines.
· Produce graphics and visual assets for email, presentations, digital ads, and video-friendly layouts. Web & CMS Authoring
· Edit and maintain existing web pages within Sitecore XM or similar CMS platforms, ensuring accuracy and visual consistency.
· Design, lay out, and deploy new web pages using established page components, templates, and brand systems.
· Ensure all pages are responsive, accessible, and optimized across devices.
· Collaborate with UX, development, and content teams to refine page structure, component selection, and digital asset placement.
· Conduct digital QA checks on responsiveness, image quality, formatting, link integrity, and content alignment. Social & Campaign Support

Primary Level Salary Range: $72,100.00 - $125,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Takes part in providing technical design and CADD support on projects to produce designs and specifications to be used for planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services business lines. Responsibilities involve generating CADD designs on various assigned projects of moderate scale and/or complexity. Generates accurate and concise design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists. Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, accuracy, and functionality.
Your Impact
Collect, compile, and analyze data from the physical work site, surveys, structural concepts, blueprints, schematics, data, verbal or written specifications, technical drawings, rough sketches, diagrams, and other matrices to support drafting and design activities.
Use 3D computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) software and work closely with engineers to resolve design details or discrepancies, and to prepare drawings which require a high degree of precision on projects of basic to moderate complexity and/or scope.
Follow standard practices to provide technical design assistance that accounts for the proper illustration, fit form, and function using geometric dimensioning, tolerance and quantity calculations, while ensuring the construction and maintainability of designs according to design standard specifications.
Verify accuracy of calculations, design, change orders, interpretation of contract plans and specifications, recognizing moderate to slightly intricate construction or engineering problems and escalating any differences, errors, or technical problems for appropriate resolution.
Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work.
Assure plans adhere to city code, state and federal regulations.
Prepare multiple versions of designs for review by engineer.
Ensure the specification of dimensions, materials, and procedures for assigned projects, ensuring compliance with contract requirements.
Work collaboratively with the engineer-in-charge and other technical professionals on assigned project phases, segments, checks, and tasks.

Required Qualifications
High School Diploma.
Minimum of 7 years of relevant post education experience in discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
