American Battery Solutions is now hiring a New Product Introduction Buyer Intern this summer for a 12-week assignment in Lake Orion, MI. The New Product Introduction Buyer Intern is engaged in the research and development of new suppliers and commodity strategies for battery pack systems. This individual will complete a 12-week project identifying new suppliers and comparing cost, quality, delivery and benchmarking competitive designs for cooling plates, enclosure assemblies, ICB Trays, and wire harnesses with a PowerPoint presentation given to leadership at end of internship. This individual interfaces with American Battery Solutions (ABS) purchasing, supplier development, supply chain, and engineering to send Request For Quotes (RFQs), assess and develop new suppliers for battery packs. Complete of 12-week project PowerPoint presentation on enclosure, coating, and cooling plate suppliers at the end of internship with supplier list, SWOT analysis, cost comparison, waterfall chart of cost drivers, and risk analysis for ABS to use for future sourcing activities.
