This individual will work with senior leadership, sales and the supply chain management team in order to lead the productdesign and engineer efforts within the company. Specifically, focusing on productdesign within the Millwork and PVC industry.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
· Interacts with manufactures and customers to address design and quality related questions.
· Maintains a catalogue of accurate drawings of all items.
· Leads design efforts of new products to include creation of appropriate manuals and documents, design reviews, schedules and budgets.
· Suggests changes and improvements to current products.
· Stays up to date on industry trends and changes in the Millwork and PVC industry.
· Works with the Sales Team to address design and functionality ideas and concerns.
· Creates bill of materials lists for products.
· Will execute the filing of intellectual property documents and or perform research to ensure there is full understanding of protections of products.
· Works to ensure completion of all marketing materials required for the product.

- Performing other duties as required such as heating/cooling load calculations, duct/pipe sizing, equipment selections, system layouts, and coordination with other design disciplines.

The Role
This is an UNPAID internship through the Hire Vets Now (HVN) SkillBridge Program for transitioning active-duty US military personnel.
