The Product Development and Packaging Department is looking for individuals to support the circuit card design process turning designs into robust and reliable reality. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop high quality producible designs. Team members will be exposed to all phases of the circuit card lifecycle from development through production and will present their findings through program design reviews. What You Will Do: We are looking for Electrical Engineers to support the following areas: Component Engineers ensuring cost effective and robust parts are used to ensure successful products, by selecting, specifying, and determining application adherence for electrical components. Electronic Computer-Aided Design (ECAD) Engineers starting from schematic capture of a Printed Circuit Boards (PCB), proceeding though component placement, routing, and various checks concluding with final drawing creation. Product Development Engineers (PDE) taking the electronic database representation of the design and turning it into tangible reality, being the project leaders during the Physical Design Phase of the Circuit Card Assembly (CCA). PDE's also interface with PCB and CCA manufacturers resolving any technical issues that arise in the manufacturing process. Individuals will interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers to develop: Component Engineers evaluate risk and verification data packages that will support component selections and provide justification to program customers. Component Engineers will identify parts to be included on the preferred parts list, drive usage of these standardized parts, provide recommendations to mitigate obsolescence issues, and identify solutions to meet customer component requirements. ECAD Engineers are responsible for creating and documenting the characteristics of a PCB design from conception to manufacturing. This process includes schematic capture, component placement, routing of traces, ODB++ file creation, Valor checks, and vaulting of all documentation. The main tools used in the process are the Siemens Xpedition tool suite and BluePrint. In addition, the ECAD Engineer will be responsible for interfacing with the Electrical Engineers, Mechanical Engineers, PDE's, various Subject Matter Experts (SME), along with other Engineering disciplines to ensure that the overall design requirements are met, and that the end products are manufacturable. PDE responsibilities include supporting the Digital, RF, Analog, and Power products team design community as the affordability, manufacturability, and producibility for all programs. Being project managers during the Physical Design Phase, tasks can include but are not limited to initial bill-of-material (BOM) selection as it related to producibility, scheduling and conducting phase reviews, Valor checks, SME reviews, communication with PCB & CCA manufacturing's, and subsystem assembly including resolution on all technical and supplier related issues. Throughout the product lifecycle the PDE follows our Integrated Product Development System to create an affordable, producible, and highly reliable design that meet the program's technical requirements and schedule needs. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) degree. Experience in one or more of the following areas: circuit design, circuit analysis, digital electronics, analog circuits, power design, RF design or printed circuit board design. This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Qualifications We Prefer Technical working knowledge of electronic components (e.g. semiconductor, passive and/or electromechanical commodities) and their application. Board layout experience of single and multi-lamination boards. PCB manufacturing and Circuit card assembly. Leveraging data and brand direction to inform strategy and solutions. Designing and/or illustrating for park-related collectibles and apparel.
